About the Author

Ben Selinger is a professor of chemistry at the Australian National University and Scientific Issues Management Consultant and a longtime consumer activist. He has been a government chemical regulator, an expert court witness, and a setter of Australian standards for consumer products--all in the interests of making chemistry more accessible to discerning consumers.
