So. Okay. Um. Wow.....
Please excuse me while I drag together all my thoughts and hopefully make sense.. I am speechless, like, I read the last line of this book and my mouth DROPPED OPEN. Now as this is a DUET there is a cliffhanger. And holy crap what a cliffhanger it is… Like WHAT THE….
But that's not the only thing that made my mouth drop open and make me unable to form words, no. This book as a whole knocked me off my feet!
It has EVERYTHING I want and need from a friends to lovers romance.. What's everything I hear you ask? Well, let me break it down for you.
Loveable characters…. CHECK.
Gripping tension…. CHECK.
Sexual chemistry…. CHECK.
Breathtaking angst…. CHECK.
A hot, steamy connection….CHECK.
And there is so much more but if I break those things down I'll spoil it. Seriously I AM BUZZING. Checkmate: This is Reckless was just FANTASTIC!

Once I began Reckless I didn't stop for 5 hours!!! Reckless took over my day, consuming every part of me. From the prologue Kennedy Fox had my attention and they managed to hold it ALL THE WAY THROUGH. Kennedy Fox burst into my life last year and have solidly implanted themselves on my favourite author list, this dynamic duo can do no wrong. Never, ever stop writing. Hear me, NEVER STOP.

I honestly went into Reckless wondering how Kennedy Fox would play out Drew and Courtney. While Reckless can stand alone, I think it is best to have read Checkmate: This is War & Checkmate: This is love. One, because I love those books and two, to purely gain a FULL understanding of everything that's happening. But you don't have to!! Let me stress that, its just MY PERSONAL OPINION.

I loved this book, it's such a good continuation of the series.

Welcome to Drew and Courtney, roommates but only one of them falls in live with the other and has to live and watch as the other is in a relationship that was poison.

You'll smile, laugh and cry with this book.

I cannot wait until the next and hope that this brides states and families

Mayday, mayday! Someone send vodka – stat *sniffs* I am not joking right now. See this face? *points* This is my most serious ‘not joking’ face! *huffs*

What in the ever-loving bleep was that? *rants*

*crosses arms* Hell to the no! *pouts*

You cannot seriously end it there. Please note; one is feeling very, I repeat, VERY stabby right now. I need to know what happens *wails*

Please tell me I’m not the only one feeling like this? I have a total love/hate relationship with this author duo at the moment. Love because, hello, Drew – le swoon. Hate, well, the ending – duh!

“It’s never felt so good to be so bad.”

I, no doubt along with all the other fans of this series, have been rooting for these two – strike that – make that Drew to wake up and smell the coffee and see what’s been right in front of him the entire time.

As the blurb says, I laughed and swooned my way through this book. I mean, how could you not with these two? I loved their banter. Courtney has it all – looks, wit and intelligence. Plus, I’m sure we all wish we had a BFF like her.

Drew – well, what can I say? He just makes my lady bits go all aflutter, and has from the very beginning. Whaaaa? *waves hand* You should all know me by now #nofilter #TMIalert *snorts* He even trumps Travis for me #justsaying There was only ever one thing I couldn’t understand and that was Mia. I mean, really? Best not go down that line of thinking or you’ll need to hide the knives *squints*

“You’ve already got my heart.”

I almost hyperventilated at the smexy scenes *whistles* Honest to goodness, they’re soooo gooood (I totally sang that!) *snorts*

Anyway, you’re probably bored now, huh? *shrugs*

I’m off to count the days till the release of book two. So *taps fingers* anyone brought the vodka yet?

I'm still undecided who I like more, Travis or Drew.

If you've read the first two books you know who Drew and Courtney are and we all know Courtney has a massive crush on Drew, who is Viola's brother.

Drew and Courtney became roommates after Travis and Viola made things official, we see Courtney torture herself living with her crush, until Drew finally realises after watching her too that she could be more than his sisters friend.

What we also learned from Travis and Viola's books was the Drew on/off girlfriend Mia Montgomery who is in the picture and is still very much a conniving evil bitch, that you might actually hate even more. Well because Courtney is just that loveable, easy going and protective of the people she loves.

We can only hope Drew finally sees Mia for what she is and gives into Courtney's longing, but there is the element of not wanting to ruin the friendship he's built with Courtney.

I loved Courtney and Drew's story just as much as Travis and Viola, and Kennedy Fox didn't disappoint with that end, leaving you anticipating what will happen next.

Firstly, best and most unexpected cliffhanger EVER!!! Don't want to spoil things, but OMG! If you've read the other checkmate books you'll know that Courtney has loved Drew forever. He's her best friends brother so its always been tricky. Also for 3 years he was in love with the horrific Mia. This woman has done nothing but cause trouble. Real trouble... However, eventually, Drew saw through her evil ways and realised he had fallen, hook, line and sinker for Courtney. Drew had an event at work which lead to him having some time off, this took him and Courtney to Vegas for a well deserved break. They were having a fab time, so in love. Then BAM! Mia is there, I'll leave it at that, but how will Drew explain his way out of what's happened. Can't wait for next book. Kennedy, please write quickly. Wow, I just can't get that ending out of my head, sign of a great book.
