It’s really easy to read and a good book that you can just dip and out of when you need. Everything is broken down into individual tips of just a few paragraphs each. Even though it’s over 200 pages and packed with information, I found it really simple to digest and the language is really clear.
It’s very parent-orientated with lots of advice about travelling with children but it also has lots of resources listed that would be useful to anyone (and many of them I hadn’t heard of before). There are sections on types of travel, including trains, flights and car hire, as well as types of holiday, such as package holidays or holiday parks and camping. There’s also a chapter on travel insurance which was surprisingly interesting.
I needed to book train tickets for a trip to Cornwall this summer and skipped straight to the section on cheap train travel where I learnt the best time in advance to buy and the best ticket website to use. I probably made my money back on the cost of the book instantly so I was happy!
The book is published by the Day Trip Finder website so there’s obviously some solid tips on theme park short breaks and attractions as well as finding cheap hotels and holiday homes. I particularly liked the case studies and real examples throughout which prove the point of each tip.
All in all I would say this book is great value and there is something in it for everyone, whether you travel a lot or just take a few trips away.
I don't normally buy this sort of book but it's actually really useful and while you might think all this sort of information is available online I picked up a lot of tips. It's not all about making financial savings as there is plenty of advice on how to get the best out of things as well with some very handy websites that I'd never heard of before. We are planning to go to Disneyworld in Florida within the next year or two and there is lots of really useful advice on this which we will definitely be referring to a lot.
It was easy to find what I needed, comprehensive and a great help for a family needing this information when going on holiday but not sure where to access it.
Before you travel with your family i recommend you read this guide as i am sure you will be impressed

I was sent a copy of this and thought that was sceptical as I have seen a lot of booklets and e-mails claiming to be able to save me money. Read morePublished 7 months ago by Kindle Customer
