I freakin' loved this book, another 5 star hit from A.M. Hargrove!!!

Chasing Vivi is a slow burn, but oh-so hot, story of second chance love and I was hooked from the very first page, couldn't put it down.

I knew from meeting Prescott in A Special Obsession that he was one to watch and boy was I right. Oh, I love that man!!! And he has an even dirtier mouth than Weston's!!!
Prescott is a man used to getting what he wants, when he wants and without asking for it, so when Vivi turns him down at every opportunity it frustrates the hell out of him and makes him want her all the more. Initially it's all in the chase for him but he soon realises Vivi is so much more than his next conquest, which confuses him and makes him panic. Because Prescott likes to be in control of everything, whether it be in business or in his private life, he panics when his feelings towards Vivi start to grow - leading him to make decisions which could potentially jeopardise his friendship with her. Oh, he frustrated me at times. I wanted to yell at him and shake him by the shoulders until he saw sense at times!!

Vivi is such a strong, kick-ass woman and I admire her for it. She'd endured so much torture at the hands of school bullies (my heart broke for her) but she gained so much strength because of it. She was determined to never be a push over again even when she suffered a horrific incident which threatened that strength.

I love A.M. Hargrove's words. You can always rely on A.M. to inject her stories with healthy doses of humour, as well as nail-biting drama, heart-felt angst and hotter-than-hell, fiery passionate chemistry between her characters.

I am a huge fan of A.M. Hargrove and Chasing Vivi has to be my favorite solo and standalone by her to date. I was immediately on that gorgeous and uber delicious cover and the intriguing blurb. I was completely captivated from the first word to the very last and was left wanting more. I never wanted this book to end!

Prescott Whitworth Beckham's life changed the moment he walked into that coffee shop and set eyes on Vivienne Renard for the first time in years. She was the smart girl who did his homework in exchange for cash at Crestview. They weren't really friends back then and he didn't really notice her, but Vivi isn't that shy awkward overweight girl anymore. In front of Prescott stands a gorgeous, self confident woman and he'll do anything to have her and ultimately own her. Vivi rejects his every move and refuses to get involved with the sexy, popular guy she had a crush on all those years ago. What starts as a mission to get her in his bed and own every inch of her turns into wanting to own Vivi's heart and earn her trust at all costs. But how can he do that when he is still stuck in his past and harboring secrets that may ultimately shatter the fragile bond they've grown to have?!

Vivi is a strong and confident heroine; a fighter who doesn't let anything drag her down. Her life hasn't been the easiest but instead of giving up and curling into a ball of depression, she kept on going. I admired her strength and courage with all my heart. She was a wonderful heroine - kind, hard working, strong, and caring. She was different from any of the other girls Prescott had been with; she wasn't after his money and instead was with him for the man that he was.

There is so much more than meets the eye with Prescott. He was a really complex hero.

Star Rating - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

For Vivi struggling to cope with a mountain of debt and recovering from the loss of her mother a blast from the past is the last thing she needs. Prescott Beckham wasn't one of the bullies that made her life hell in school but he brings the memories of the torment crashing back, along with the girlish crush she had all those years ago. A stronger and more confident Vivi she's no longer the walk over she was in school she won't let her crush get away with taking advantage of her anymore or will she? Prescott Beckham has it all money, success and more women than a man can handle, all it takes is a smile and a Hi and they throwing themselves at his feet, that is until Vivi. Little does Vivi realise that saying No is exactly what Prescott needs to hear. With his life not quite as picture perfect as it may seem Vivi and the distraction of the chase are just what these mogul needs to get him back in the game.

For those readers who have read A.M Hargrove's A Special Place you see some familiar characters when reading Chasing Vivi however this book is stand alone. The way it has been written is these familiar characters are 'additional' to the story if it wasn't for the unusual name of 'Spesh' I would have never have realised that the books were linked. Chasing Vivi has an angst ridden plot what with both Vivi and Prescott's history effecting their interactions with each other and the cast of the book at large. Overall this latest A.M. Hargrove books gets a 5 star rating, I just couldn't put the book down I needed to know more about the pair.
