A wonderful story of attraction, magic and opening up once more to the chance of happiness or being hurt. Of how the past can grip hold of you and only be released once you talk and face it. And of how, a chance meeting can change your life, if only you open yourself up to the chance.
Summer Dawn Riley is an extraordinary elemental witch whose past haunts her. Creating a new life of calm and tranquility, she teaches yoga and keeps people at a distance. Enrolling in a weapons class she meets the ruggedly handsome Devlin Sawyer, and sparks ignite.
Devlin, is a forma Navy Seal, who's sworn off women after two long-term failed relationships, but he can't deny his attraction to Summer. She intrigues him like no other woman ever has. Despite her attempts to ignore him, Summer is drawn to Devlin. His magic signature is strong, but he’s no warlock. Will Valentine’s Day magic find them a future together?

Summer and Devlin meet when Summer wants to buy a gun and learn to shoot for self-protection. Sparks fly immediately. But each character has a secret he or she needs to share before they can become a couple.
When Devlin invites Summer to his cabin in the mountains along with his sister and her husband, the romance bursts into bloom. Despite the cold and snow of their surroundings, the couple’ attraction develops and the sparks grow hotter. . .igniting flames of passion.
This is not only a fun Valentine’s Day read, but also a perfect story to read with a warm cup of chocolate, coffee, or tea on a chilly evening.
I enjoyed the attraction between the two unconventional characters and found Summer’s dog, Piper, cast perfectly in the supporting role. A great winter read.
My suggestion is to grab a hot chocolate and a comfortable spot. Settle down to an entertaining read.
