It is hard to know if Chaplin misremembered the facts, or he deliberately changed them, or if the writer misquoted him. In any case, if he was so far off about things that had happened just a year or two before in his life, how much worse are the facts about his distant past? Read it for fun, but this is not the straight dope on Chaplin, but a movie scenario version.
was a little hard to read because of the spelling of a lot of words. It was like someone was plagiarizing it and in order not get sued had changed the spelling. I have Chaplin's autobiography, so I will compare the two.
