Got given this by a friend of mine and after the first listen was totally hooked. Man For All Seasons, Broken Eyes and Never Give Up On Love are massive tunes. You'll worship it if you're a fan of Fresh, High Contrast or London Elektricity.

Cannot understand someone giving this 1 star and then recommending you go and buy Pendulum instead... that is quite laughable for someone who claims to like dnb. Pendulum are only big because of the cross-over appeal, but Concord Dawn are true dnb to the roots genius.

Highly recommended!

the concord dawn sound is much more refined on this album, and the tracks are just unique enough, just varied enough, to make this a very worthy jungle/drum & bass artist album. You just can't beat those huge buildups and vocals and hard beats when they're produced this well. Concord dawn's success in the UK scene as well as native New Zealand and the rest of the wide global drum & bass world are a testament to this. With signings of not 1, not 2, but FIVE (5) of the album tracks to single releases and/or compilations on huge huge labels like Metalheadz, Ram, and Hospital records, it's obvious that the A&R folks who signed them are seeing something in this duo. Big ups the international talent, and Concord Dawn's ability to improve their sound, bring some fresh/unforgetable tracks to follow up previous classics like Morning Light, and actually package it with enough variety as an artist album for home and the dancefloor should have.

The main thing I love about this album never settles on a certain genre of Jungle. That's not to say the tracks jolt from one genre to another, it's just the tracks themselves never sound like any one defined genre. The tracks all have a thick atmosphere without being oppressive. I'm glad I got this one.

NOTE: To anyone looking for Concord Dawn (or any other artist) to sound like Pendulum, that's just stupid. Only Pendulum will(and should) sound like Pendulum. Every artist has their own sound, if they didn't, there would be no point listening to music. Also before anyone says "Oh he's just never heard Pendulum, blah blah blah", Hold Your Colour was the first Jungle cd I bought, it's what got me into Jungle, and though it's a stellar album it's definitely not the be all, end all to what Jungle is.

There are some great tracks on this CD, but I was hoping it would be a bit better. Stiil though, worth the money!

I was disappointed with this CD. It had excellent reviews on the CD cover, and a highly recommended sticker, and I knew I loved their songs Aurora and Morning light. I was confident it would be good. But the drum and bass is ordinary, and I wasn't expecting all the singing. It reminds me a bit of Lincoln Park. Much better is the Pendulum CD (Hold Your Color) if you're looking for (more than) good drum and bass. I just don't want others out there to spend money on something they shouldn't have like I did. Or maybe I'm just not getting it. The one star is for the slightly good bits in places, that Pendulum do much better.
