This book centres around Dr Indie Porter who is a star in the hospital that she is a 2nd year resident at. Indie skipped some grades in school and is known for her amazing study skills and research she even has one of her research papers published, that leads to changes in the way they do a revolutionary surgery meaning she is a star in her own right. Indie hasn’t always had the easiest times, as she was younger than the others in school they didn’t always see things the same way, and lots of people in the hospital are jealous of this rising star. The one who isn’t is her best friend Belle, they made instant friends and she is the only real relationship that Indie has as she isn’t close to her folks and the cold grandma that raised her died a couple of years previously. Being so bad at friendships and relationships means that Indie is still a virgin, and now doesn’t know what to do, just sleep with someone or save it? So her and Belle make a list then even create a Pinterest board about it, there are 3 types she needs the first being someone who knows what he’s doing in bed, confident and cocky, and will give you a good time, the second someone who will worship you and cry as he comes, sensitive and caring, and the third the perfect guy a mix of both who you can settle with
The surgery that she wrote her paper about is one that the other main character Soccer star and general all around heart throb and lothario, Camden Harris needs to ensure he can go forward with his soccer career, as after getting most of the way through the season on the penultimate match the rain is against him and causes him to go down in the mud after a shady tackle meaning he tears his ACL, a possibly career ending injury. When he finds himself in hospital, he appreciates the Doctor who is looking after him, she’s hot in a nerdy type of way, not his usual look but she got enough curves to distract him from the pain and worry of his injury. Despite her telling him it can’t go further as she is his Doctor, he still kisses her and she realises that this could be the perfect number one for her list once he has completed his surgery’s. Only problem is he doesn’t want to wait.
This is a great read, and I can’t wait to go and read the books in the London Lovers series. If they are as well written, hot and funny as this book I am confident they will be 5 star reads also.
Camden Harris - sexy fit footballer
Indie Porter - Cute, Beautiful doctor.
They both are very happy and content with how they are living their loves, he's happy to love em and leave em - she's happy for plenty of fun with no strings! Until Cam finds himself in A&E with a damage knee and meets the fiery redheaded doctor.
She was looking for a man to help with her life plan, and even though Cam was her patient he did tick all the boxes.
They share a kiss and it seems as if all bets are of! Cam was more than happy to be on board with Indie's life plan.
They grab your attention, you really want them both to break down their barriers and start feeling.
It was great to catch up with Vi and Hayden, and meet the rest of the Harris clan. Just loved the banter between the brothers, especially Tan and Cam -
Booker seems to be hiding in the twins shadow, I wonder if he is too young for Julie, as I think they might be very well suited??
Just loved Belle, and if not mistaken there were some sparks between her and Tanner.
The sleazy Dr Pritchard, he certainly gets whats coming to him!
Cam and Indie had great banter, they jelled really well, they might have gone into their friendship as friends but they soon become so much more.
He really is a sweetheart and not once did he think of Indie as a one time girl. It was quite frustrating watching them try to navigate their feelings for each other, everyone could see it except them.
It was a pleasant surprise that the guy came to the conclusion way before the girl, although they talked they kept a ton of stuff hidden and once it surfaced and they actually worked through some of these things they were destined to be a couple.
Did they pick the right time to go public, well No! they were set up! but it did them a favour. The way the Harris brothers all rallied around, they really are a great family, good things are headed their way.
Hmmm wonder if Papa Harris can finally get over his grief, and maybe find himself a new match. Who doesn't like a silver fox!
Challenge is more on the comical side of the emotions, but there was some tear jerking moments but I also had tears from laughing. I got a little angry, a little annoyed and also rather intrigued by a certain someone.
Amy has once again got me so wrapped up in her story that I didn't want to leave the world that hers words had created.
Indie at points made me a little angry and protective, I may have wanted to knock some sense into her. But I also loved the vulnerable and lonely side to her. I really loved the dynamic with her and her best friend Belle.... she's the type of friend you want, penis lists and all..
I loved seeing this different side to Camden, he was an eye opening character for me and In my opinion the definition of don't judge a book by its cover.
I want more from the Harris brothers and even their dad.... Vaughn what a tough nut to crack.
Well done again Amy on making me look 100% crazy as I went from crying to laughing with the flick of a page.
Indie is a doctor at the hospital Camden is taken to.
Indie has a list she intends to stick to when it comes to men. Camden is happy to help her with the number 1 on her list, but then he falls for her.
Indie has never had any kind of closeness with another human being, except for her best friend Bella, & even that still seems a little foreign to her. She doesn't know how to cope with Camdens feelings.
Camden is her number 1 & then he jumps to her number 3.
Great read, even if Arsenal are mentioned lol. Loved the story & characters .
