David has devoted his time writing a parallel story of Jack the Ripper back in 1888, to the present day 1988; a hundred years later, where a copycat killer is on the loose.
I was certainly impressed with this paperback after reading it; and most definitely was not expecting the genius in the way it has been written. It is full of twists and turns that keeps you guessing to the very end. Most new authors I read are usually just O.K. and once you finish the book, you soon forget them. This author will stay in my memory for as long as he keeps writing books, and I hope he becomes rich & famous, he deserves it. I have stayed awake far later than I should have reading this as I just couldn't put it down. Based on the one book I have bought another six books he has written and can't wait to start them! As far as the story was concerned I found it compelling, well-written and kept me absorbed throughout! Positively more gripping with every turn of the page, horrifying, yet not gory, but very addictive.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this as a brilliant crime thriller!
