About the Author
Rekha Sarin is a Delhi-based freelance writer and has been writing over several years for leading Indian magazines and newspapers, as well as for overseas journals on subjects of travel, culture and interior design. She was Contributing Editor for a magazine for the travel industry in India. A graduate from the University of Delhi, she qualified with a gold medal from the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan School of Journalism, besides being the recipient of the The Times of India gold medal. An inveterate lover of nature, she is also a professional floral decorator and her first book, The Art of Flower Arrangement was well acclaimed for its lucid style of presentation. She is particularly fond of descriptive writing wherein she attempts to project a kaleidoscope of mental images in the mind of the reader. This is her second book. Rajan Kapoor has been conferred with several national and international Awards for photography, including the Commonwealth Photographic Award for Environment and the National Wildlife Photographer Award. He has held several solo shows including the ones at NCPA and Jahangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. He was part of the five-member Jury appointed to decide on the National Art Awards, 2012. Being a successful industrialist, and having inherited his love for art, he has a wide range of interests as in nature, environment, art, music and sports, where he has excelled. In his own words, ""Talents cannot be acquired; however you can polish them up with acquired skills."" He conceptualised and shot his first Coffee Table book titled Brahma's Pushkar, the text and design for which was provided by historian Aman Nath. The book was formally launched by the Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh.
