Olivia is staying in St. Agnes to do research. She's living in the UK for a few months, but is originally from Nashville where she works as a professor, her specialization is Celtic mythology. Via a friend Olivia meets Lanyon, who's the owner of Tremayne House. He's a dark and troubled man who doesn't like socializing. Something that's happened in his past is still bothering him and he can't let go. It's also the reason why he's an outcast in the village. Lanyon and Olivia keep meeting each other. It's clear there's a lot of mutual attraction, but as they are both struggling with the secrets of their past nothing is going right at all. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles or are their secrets keeping them apart?

Celtic Love Knots is a wonderful love story. I loved the setting, a beautiful Cornish village and a large house that needed to be taken care of. The main characters are both very smart. Olivia is a professor and Lanyon is a computer genius. I liked their background and the way they are thinking. Lanyon is dark and mysterious which is intriguing Olivia. He loves her hair and the way she can stand up for herself. Deep down she knows what she wants, but it isn't easy to get it when there are so many people who want her to be different. They have to fight to set themselves free and that process has been described very well. What I also love about this book is how the American has been mixed with the English. It has the charm of both. Celtic Love Knot is filled with mysteries and secrets and slowly they are being revealed. I wanted nothing more than to find out what happened. I'm glad I had the chance to read this book and recommend it to anyone who loves a good love story with plenty of twists.

Once again, Angela Britnell has produced a most enjoyable read for those of us who like a good story, with a strong heroine, and a hunky, if damaged, hero, all tied up with a satisfactory ending.

Olivia is an American professor whose special interest is in Cornish legends, particularly the ones about giants. She is visiting Cornwall to complete some research towards writing a book. Lanyon is the local ‘squire’ in St Agnes – a brooding, solitary man with a bad reputation. (Misunderstood of course) They are attracted to each other from the start, but both resist – for how long? Both have secrets – who is willing to speak up and let the other into those secrets first?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as I have with the others I have read by Angela – a surprising number when I checked it out. I can recommend without hesitation.

A love story in idyllic Cornwall is a perfect summer sunshine read and this book does not disappoint. A landowning young outcast, a pirate with a rebel instinct who has a penchant for web design meets an American professor who's writing stories on Celtic legends which searching for her long lost sister. Set amongst the beaches of Cornwall this book combines romance, historical legends and detective novel all in one.

The story flows effortlessly from one chapter to the next and I loved being curled up on my sofa reading it, imagining I was in Cornwall with the hero and heroine searching myself for her long lost sister while getting lost in the romance between the two of them. Light heartened and enjoyable read.

Two broken people meet by chance and as in all good love story's help mend each other. Well that the essence of the plot anyway but the well rounded characters they meet and share their life with make for an excellent read that is much more than a love story.
Angela's description of the landscape was such that I could smell the sea and almost feel the sand under my feet. I'm also going to investigate the local legends of Cornwall as she has really got me interested with St Agnes and the giant.

This is why I read romance. I was swept away to the coast of Cornwall and was willing Olivia and Lanyon to get together from the moment I met them. This is one of those books where the story sneaks up on you, sucks you in and real life is willingly abandoned in favour of immersion in the characters’ world. A well crafted story about a couple falling in love. Will definitely be reading more by this author.

Angela Britnell does it again. Some how she manages to bring her down home Tennessee charm to everything she touches; this time she blends a “little bit country” with the mysticism of Cornwall.

Olivia, Tennessee’s latest import from the States, arrives in Cornwall to research its old legends and meet Lanyon – Cornwall’s own modern-day Mr. Darcy.

Lanyon’s heart is frozen from loneliness and past heart breaks, choosing to live the life of a reclusive hermit- until Olivia melts his heart and brings him back to life.

Olivia is smart and sassy and takes no gumpf from Lanyon and that playful tension turns into an exciting romance filled story.

Angela Britnell’s writing is beautifully vivid, that I felt like I knew Cornwall and had visited there myself without leaving the comfort of my armchair. Superb, is the only word that comes to mind to describe Celtic Love knot, it will not disappoint.
