Fantastic vision with Celestron!
The high power Omni eyepiece is a 4 -element premium symmetrical Plossl optical design, which is the most highly regarded design of all eyepieces and has been fully functional and widely used since its creation by G.S Plossl in 1869. The eyepiece determines your telescopes magnification and can give you a wider field of view. Why not expand your field of view to 52º and achieve an eye relief of 5mm with the Celestron Omni 32mm eyepiece.
This eyepieces from Celestron is perfect for beginners and has a multitude of functions for a great price making it suitable for those of you who are juts starting up your telescope and accessories collection. The features of this eyepiece include lens edges to minimize internal reflection and maximize contrast and fold-down rubber eye cups for comfort of use and rubberized grips come as standard as well.
The eyepiece has multi-layer coating group on each lens surface to maximize light transmission and contrast, and each Omni goes through a two-step anodizing process to prevent reflection from the top eyepiece barrel, unlike most other manufactures that use reflective surfaces. The Omni 32mm Plossl eyepiece from Celestron would make a brilliant addition to anyone’s telescope kit bag.

The quality of construction is absolutely first rate and I have no hesitation in recommending it. It isn't a cheap lens but for the use and pleasure that it has provided me, I think it has been worth every penny. Especially useful in the UK's light polluted skies.
Build quality is good , optics excellent
Great price and quick delivery
Excellent on both my 200p Dobsonian and 130 slt Celestron
This comment is unintelligible and unfair to rate this product poorly on that.
Aperture X 2 gives you the total magnification possible in your scope. Focal length divided by the eyepiece size will give you your apparent magnification.
Whilst I do not have any other 6mm eyepieces to compare to, this works perfectly with my 900 scope giving me 150x magnification. The finish is of a high standard for an entry level eyepiece - there is some crowning which is not a huge issue if the image is properly aligned.
- Grab a piece of tin foil
- Make a hole on it with a needle
- Do your stargazing through this hole from now on
(This would simulate eye relief, field of view and brightness well. There, I saved some money for you.)
Right, in all seriousness: meh...
I think the fidelity of the image is ok. Haven't had ideal viewing conditions to say for sure, but looks ok.
Is it usable? Not really.
Eye relief? You better trim your eyelashes! Literally, your eye will touch the lens every now and then!
Field of view? Pretty bad. May be the eye relief, but looks narrower than any other Plossl I have.
May give a slightly better image than my cheap chinese 9mm + my very reasonably priced achromatic barlow, but I'll chose that over this any time.
It seems I have to look further for a planetary eyepiece.

My most used wide field lens. I have heard the that high mag Omni's are not as good but this one is a gem and I used this before switching to higher mag lenses for easy location.Published 4 months ago by David P. Ambrose
Decent Plossl eyepiece. The 1.25" barrel is made of aluminium though and doesn't have that premium feelPublished 5 months ago by John O'Mahony
