About the Author

Kim Law wrote her first story, “The Gigantic Talking Raisin,” in elementary school. Although it was never published, it was enough to whet her appetite for a career in writing. First, however, she would try her hand at a few other passions: baton twirling, softball, and music, to name a few. Voted Bookworm and Most Likely to Succeed in high school, she went on to earn a college degree in mathematics. Law spent years working as a computer programmer and raising her son, and she now devotes her time and energy to writing romance novels (none of which feature talking raisins). She is a past winner of the Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart Award and currently serves as president for her local RWA chapter. A native of Kentucky, she lives with her husband in Middle Tennessee.

This was a nice read. I really liked the characters and the storyline was good and the slow build up of the sexual and romantic tension was good.

Vega is a videographer who is tasked with landing an interview with 'all american gorgeous guy' JP Davenport who is first in line for Georgia's senatorial seat. These two immediately spark off each other but both have emotional baggage to overcome. Especially Vega who has a secret that could threaten both of them if they pursue their attraction.

It was a relatively slow story for me although it was good and I did enjoy it but it's not a keeper and I definately wouldn't read it again.

I marked this story down one star because it was so frustrating at time. I don't want to say any spoilers but JP's hangup because of his 'disability' drove me mad!!! Honestly, it's just not a big deal in my opinion and for someone so dynamic and driven as him I think he just would have 'moved on' years ago.

Vega was blowing so hot and cold that I really did have her pegged for a '****teaser' at the beginning although when her secret was revealed I had a lot more sympathy - the full extent of this secret isn't revealed until the end so I was a bit irratated by her volatility until then.

The book wasnt a bad read but i did feel frustrated with vega and JP constantly throughout the book for not just getting their acts together and admitting their damn secrets! But all in all, not bad if you want to pass time!

For those who love romance this story fits the bill and delivers everything it says on the tin! Vega and JP both have skeletons rattling in their cupboards . They have been drawn to one another and can't deny their mutual attraction but their past keeps getting in the way not least JP's precious family name and hid mother's desire for him to run for the Governor's office. Together they fight for their truth and their love. I really enjoyed this one, couldn't put it down.

Really great book, the mystery surrounding Vega and the Davenports had me hooked until the very last page, and the culmination of the entire book was brilliant. Excellent for cozy days in winter, or lazy days in summer, truly enjoyable read.

This is quite a good story about former model Vega and politician JP. The book is very readable and the romance between the two characters develop well but I did find both of them a bit frustrating. Vega has hang ups about being in front of the cameras and so now makes a living behind the camera and does everything she can to avoid public scrutiny, the mystery for much of the book is quite why she feels this way. JP is a strange chap who is too busy trying to please his mother to do what he really wants and has big hang ups about his "disability", it all seems a bit unrealistic that this would happen in this day and age! Still if you put aside the slightly unbelievable aspects of the story it is a good read.

I think the title says it all really. For my taste it was quite a big book at 412 pages so I thought it'd take me a few weeks to read it but I absolutely flew through it. Although the book did have its faults and was a little predictable it still kept me reading late into the night and anytime I was at work and had a quick break, which is very unusual for me. I usually save my reading for home so I think that says how enjoyable it was to read. I don't think I really got into the book and enjoying it until about 150 pages in though so it does take a while to get going. I remember that because at this point I was wondering if I would make it to the end and thought I made a mistake choosing it because I was getting a bit bored and the story didn't seem to be building an awful lot. However, it seemed to kick into life after that.

I love the character JP and warmed to him quite a bit. It had me wishing I had a JP of my own! I'm not really sure about Vega as I found her character quite annoying and frustrating a lot of the time and some of the things she said and did didn't make sense. Some of it did by the end when you find out all of her and JP's deepest darkest secrets but she was on the irritating side sometimes.

I don't want to spoil the story for anyone so I will just say that this is just your typical romance in my opinion and I do agree with the other reviewer to a point because it probably is just an average (or basic) read/storyline. However, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It's not one of those books that I will be thinking about for days and weeks after finishing it etc but enjoyable all the same and so that is why I think it's worthy of 4 STARS.

Kim Law is a new author to me, and although I found 'Caught on Camera' quite enjoyable, I felt that the storyline was cheesy in the extreme, and she seemed to drag the last ounce out of her characters. Basically its a tale of high flyer meets young woman trying to make a career for herself. Both the main characters have buried secrets which they are more than reluctant to share with each other, or anyone else for that matter. I found the many references to JP Davenport's 'secret' wearing and somewhat unnecessary. Was this 'secret' so bad that it couldn't be revealed until almost the end of the story? I think not. Vega Zaragoza, the young woman, has a very different and possibly dangerous secret, which keeps the reader guessing almost until the story ends. All in all a somewhat mindless romantic read. Not really to my taste, so I think this will be my one and only foray into Kim Law's literary output.
