It's not a book full of photos, but it has some good black and white diagrams in it. There is a nice 'What if my cat...?' section, which has a picture of cat, with relevant symptoms listed around the cat and page numbers you can look those problems up on. It also mentions quite a few things you can note about your cat and it's history that can be helpful if you ever need to take your cats to the vets, so it a book that is useful to read before anything happens.
It is a good general reference book, but did not cover as many topics as I had hoped. It has not always been the easiest book to find information in, when I have needed it quickly. It's not a bad book really, I was just hoping it might become my go to cat book for everything and it's not really that, so I was a bit disappointed. Perhaps I expected too much from a 211 page paperback book.
