Colour Name: Black
Strong styling combines with basic dark colours in the best G-Shock tradition of toughness. The EL backlit digital display employs a handsome negative LCD screen.
A 10-year battery life, 10 bar water resistance and 10 m dropping G-Shock resistance. These were the three requirements of the ‘Triple 10’ concept that led to the development of G-Shock’s shock-resistant structure. The rugged shape and robust styling originated with an engineer’s brief calling for an ‘unbreakable watch’.
Since its birth in 1983, G-Shock has continued its unrestrained evolution while retaining its distinct structure and has continued to push forwards technologically too. It has produced versions that resist freezing temperatures, high water pressure, magnetic fields, centrifugal forces and radio-controlled technology that constantly makes sure they display the correct time wherever you are in the world.
It’s not just technology that’s been a strength for G-Shock over 30 years though. The G-Shock is also about functional beauty and fashion-wise the brand has worked with renowned artists and taste makers over the years to create some good collaborations, including Maison Martin Margiela, Eminem and Maharishi to name but a few.
Casio is one of the UK’s top five watch brands, with over one million watches purchased every year. Amongst it's portfolio are classic "toughness" brands G-Shock and Baby-G, motor-sport inspired chronograph range Edifice and the fashionista favourite retro collection of digital watches.
With recent advances in Bluetooth and Wave Ceptor technology, Casio continually pushes the boundaries of innovative timepiece design and functionality.See all Product Description

Now I would not use anything else. Totally bomb proof, utterly accurate. If you want flash look elsewhere. If you want a classic that can take anything and last forever, you've found it.
It's quite easy to set. As noted elsewhere the minute hand only goes forward when setting it but if you hold the button down the hands whiz round and as you approach the time you want, take your finger off and close in gently. It's quite easy to do.
The face and hands are very easy to read. A glance and you've got the time. The digital display is easy to read outdoors but in more subdued light you'll need to pay a little bit of attention to read it. Oh and it is not as vivid a blue as it appears in the pictures, thank goodness. Quite a dark, discrete shade, looks good.
Plus, I have done some extreme testing with the watch, and the results are amazing. I placed my watch into a bowl of water, and place that bowl into the freezer for 7 days. I got the bowl out, slid the entire massive ice 'cube' out, and smashed it into pieces until i retrieved my watch. No surprisingly, the watch works, perfectly with no sign of it enduring a tough week. Now, unless you're some lunatic, there's nothing you can do in real life to imitate that condition.
The bad: The alarm only lasts about 25secs. Not enough to wake me up. Would be nice if it had a vibrating alarm.

The easiest to use, least complicated no-nonsense G-Shock watch in the range. It's the third one I've had -- glad to find it's still available.Published 1 month ago by Brian Weatherley
Great product. Not too big, as I have small wrists. Very robust. Its dropped a few times and hit it against walls/vans etc. at work but, not affected the watch at all. Read morePublished 1 month ago by M. ul Haq
