Casemate "Tough" for Sony Xperia S

The Sony Xperia S is a nice phone but it is very "droppable". I've ordered a few shell type cases from Amazon that were much cheaper than this case but I'd still say for value for money, this is the best case you can buy for the phone.

The fit is incredible and the dual silicone/hard shell case gives the phone a much firmer feel in hand without bulking the size out too much. It is quite fiddly to fit, put the silicone skin on first then snap the hard shell over it rather than try to fit both sleeves on the phone together. All the buttons and ports are still very accessible and I've found no problem with the camera shutter button. You have to use a firmer push but it is still very responsive.

The inner silicone sleeve picks up pocket lint and other dust objects but because it is mostly covered by the hard shell the phone feels very secure and the materials used make it feel much firmer in hand when you are using it on the move.

It might be at the expensive end of the phone case market but you'll feel it's money well spent. Buy it!

I bought this case for a new Xperia S as, at the time, it was so new that there were very few alternatives. It is very unobstrusive, both blending in with the handset's design and not inhibiting use of any of the phone's buttons. I've dropped the phone several times and the case has completely protected it on each occasion. There is a slight issue with the seal between the case and the phone directly above the USB charging port; pushing the charger in & out causes the case to ride up a bit, although it is easily fixed by pushing it back down onto the handset. I think that's more of a handset design fault, particularly as the plastic charging port cover on the phone has long since broken off. Overall, a good value and very effective case.

slightly thicker then the others, robust built still doesn't look like an industrial phone. Fits perfectly and doesn't atract dust.
The rubberish surface offers great grip and the buttons are all perfectly align. Only have to take it off when I put my phone in the car charger/holder, but I can live with that!

I purchased three different cases for the Sony Xperia S hoping one would be what I need. This case is definitely the best. It has an inner gel covering with a hard shell outer covering. Really nice and solid product. I have the Otter Box for an Iphone, but since they don't make one for the Xperia S I tried this one. Glad I did.
