In short, This is the best backpack I've found so far. It holds my 13" MacBook, iPad, and a few books, contains sundry pockets all over the place which are just the right size for holding an iphone, keys, tissues, travel cards etc. No more fumbling for car keys.
( not sure if you'd want to be putting anything valuable in those small outer pockets when standing in dodgy looking queues for the bus or tube)
It looks so good - I bought the black, wasn't sure about the grey. anyhow the black looks sleek, and a lot more expensive than the £22 I paid for it. It doesn't look bulky and is very well made.
I also cut off the small tacky looking caselogic logo label on one of the arms. Easily done, and now it is perfect.
13" Macbook Pro
iPad Air 2
Nexus 7 (Front inside pouch fits it EXACTLY horizontal)
Despite all that, you can STILL barely tell the bag is full. It's incredible. My ONLY GRIPE with the bag is the absence of a chest strap, the material on the arm straps is extremely slippy on the shoulders if you prefer a looser strap. I recommend getting a strap set on Amazon that simply buttons on the arms and fits the void well.
This is exactly what I was looking for: A slim back pack for my macbook pro, that would be comfortable and still fit in all of my accessories: Charger, phone charger, notebook, glasses, lunch snack, wallet, a bottle of water and more. It fits everything in and still looks so slim - perfect on a crowded tube. Also, there are so many pockets and zippers that if you're organized and decide on a permanent pocket for each accessory - navigating yourself and finding what you want is a breeze!
It's so comfortable I use it even when I leave home without my laptop.
GREAT value for money.
One small caveat is that there isn't any padding at the bottom of the bag for the laptop. It doesn't bother me too much because I keep my laptop in a sleeve, a workaround to this is just putting a piece of sponge at the bottom of the bag or something.
What really stands out most for me though is the comfort. I'm not sure what it is about the shoulder design, but whereas the kit I carried in my old rucksack really felt like a drag, because this one is naturally higher up on your back and there is a fabric area across the top of the straps, which sits across the top of your shoulder blades, it seems to make carrying a heavy load feel significantly easier. It really is a joy to use and also takes a 17" laptop (just).
I quickly placed an order for this bag after getting helpful comments from other owners on here, and im very happy so far. I can fit my Macbook Pro Retina 13" in which is held by a nice bit of squishy foam, and in front of that is the main space for all your other booty. From my experience I can comfortably fit my Mac, couple of A4 binders and A4 notebook comfortably and still squeeze in a hoody in case it gets chilly.
A pleasant addition was that with all my stuff piled into this bag, it doesn't feel as heavy as my old bag did and I feel this is due to the design of the straps. Someone commented on an old review the straps are a bit slippy...perhaps a tad but its not like it'll fall off and when you have stuff inside it, its perfectly fine.
Edited to add - almost 2 years later it is still going strong and still looks like new even though it has travelled the world with me and been unceremoniously slung in all manner of overhead plane lockers, luggage racks and under seats on trains. I still haven't found another backpack to beat it.
