I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love Carter. This is a perfect addition to the Forged Bloodlines series but can also be read as a stand alone. Carter the vampire who hunts evil vampires, the loner. After years alone as a vampire hunter he finally meets his match in Holly. She's perfect for him. I truly enjoyed this book in actual fact I read it within a day as I could not put it down. I loved the humour and the excitement of the book.
I would definitely recommend this to any PNR fan, if you've never read PNR? Don't worry this book will have you hooked.
Thanks Lisa for another great read.

Having read the Forged Bloodlines series thus far I was glad to see one written about the elusive Carter. This book was on par with the rest of the series and a nice look into the world of a character that was interesting yet unknown to a degree. It was nice that Carter got to be the 'hero' and the main protagonist with Anja and friends taking a back seat. It wasn't overly look and up to the usual standard of the author. I liked the direction this book took us in and it was an easy, enjoyable read.

5.0 out of 5 stars So many feels... 20 Dec. 2015
By Laveda Lynn Kasch - Published on Amazon.com

So, first things first... Carter is apart of Lisa's Forged Bloodlines series, which is at 10 books right now, but it can be read as a standalone. I will say that if you haven't read her Forged Bloodlines series you are totally missing out, it's fantastic!

Carter is a vampire but he's not your typical vampire. He's more like a hot, cocky, smart mouthed, superhero/vampire slayer. See, he didn't choose to be a vampire, that choice was made for him but he can, and does, choose to not to kill humans. He even goes as far as not drinking from humans at all. He doesn't take to kindly to the vampires who kill the humans just because they can, so he puts an end to them. Now, before that meant that he would kill them but now, for...reasons, he has to get creative on how to get rid of them.

I am a huge paranormal fan and also a huge Lisa Olsen fan. I love her writing style and the way her books suck you into a whole nother world. Carter will give you the giggles, make you angry and give the feels. So many feels... But most of all, it will make you fall in love with CARTER.

5.0 out of 5 stars He never thought he be a loner forever. 20 Dec. 2015

Carter is a vampire, yet he despises most of his own kind and wants to rid the world of those but can not kill. He misses his previous partner, and doesn't think he will ever find someone to fill any if not all the voids in his life until....
This is part of the Forged Blood Lines Series, it can be read alone but I strongly suggest you read the series so you can really appreciate Carter. I don't want to spoil for others but you will not regret this book or anything from this author..
5.0 out of 5 stars Slayer slaying 22 Dec. 2015

Carter is a Vampire Slayer & is also a vampire. He has sworn off relationships that is until he saves Holly from a nasty vamp. Holly is a human on the lookout for her missing brother & a woman by the name of Ivy that she believes is not only a vampire but also associated with her brother. Holly has a way of working around the compulsions that Carter lays on her so their paths continue to cross. They end up working together as they both have the same target...the nasty vamp Gideon.

Sparks fly with these two but Carter fights the sparks. Holly is a tough cookie that challenges him which makes the story entertaining. There is something about Carter that just makes you love the guy.

This author really knows how to write an entertaining, mysterious & enjoyable paranormal love story. I encourage you to read not only this story which can be read as a standalone but also the other books in this series. They will provide you with many hours of entertainment.

This is a definite 5 star read because of the entertainment factor alone.
2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected.... 12 Feb. 2016

Okay so I love this series and when I saw that Carter had his own book I pushed all my books on my reading list to the bottom. I had to read this book. Let's just say that I had a hard time finishing the book. I love Carter and couldn't wait to hear his story but I felt like it was more Holly's story. There were more chapters in her pov than his and she was always trying to get in his pants. That got a little annoying and she just seemed like she was more into him because he is a vampire. Maybe it's just me but I was a little disappointed in this one, however it won't stop me from reading the next Anja book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Carter was such an amazing read 31 Dec. 2015

Loved Carter's story. Just love the world Lisa created with this series. Carter is the bomb although he could have been nicer to my Bishop but then again there wouldn't be the hysterical things Carter says about him. This story will have the reader caught in Lisa's web with the first paragraph. But really nervous with the title of her next installment.... forget me when the sun goes down..... don't break my heart Lisa!!!!
