I'm never really a super-fan kind of guy but I can genuinely say I've liked almost every song Jamie has released and unreleased-released. I've stayed away from Don't you find and Zombie (great songs though) because I wanted to focus on the songs I haven't listened to yet.. and in all, Carry on The Grudge is unbelievably touching. He's been an interesting song-writer since he came around but this delicate sensitivity that's been pushed through on this album is very inspiring. He still has his raw, aggressive energy on a few tracks but the ones that really stand out to me are the softer ones that reveal improvement his song-writing abilities - it's a shame that some might over look them in expectation of his laddish party charm from his previous albums because even though there are some high energy stand-outish songs they definitely aren't as catchy as the lead singles from Panic Prevention and Kings & Queens - albeit a perfect addition to Jamie T's releases, that I for one, can't stop listening to. Definitely my favourite album of the year!

It's an overdue album by an artist I truly adore. Jamie sounds more grown up and pensive, he sings more too. There is less of his angry boyish rapping and more of his clever lyrics and the whole album feels less urgent. I had it on pre-order and have listened to it every day since I received it. To me it feels like a grower of an album- tracks like Zombie, Limits Lie, Trouble, Love is Only a Heartbeat Away and Murder of Crows are instantly likeable- and the rest are to be unpeeled as a good book or any other meaningful form of art.

Jamie T has an amazing turn of phrase and what I most like about him is that he comes across as a genuine person who writes about stuff that means something to him. I actually don't mind when artists take time to come up with their next album. I'd rather they allowed themselves to live life and acquire new experiences in order to have something real to write about than churn out album after album with the sole purpose to remain in the spotlight. In a review I read recently it was mentioned that Jamie has spent some time travelling in the States and that both of his parents have had health issues in the last few years. With this album you do get the feeling that he is not a carefree youngster anymore, and that an older and more grown up person is emerging. He has allowed himself to come across as more vulnerable too.

Luckily Jamie's talent remains as compelling as ever and you cannot help but admire his ability to write good tunes and sign from his heart. He has this amazing quality to capture the off-beat side of life and present it in a heartwarming, intelligent and unpretentious way.

Loved Jamie Ts first 2 albums and this long awaited 3rd is if anything even better. It's more polished and produced than the earlier ones but that's not a criticism. Some instantly catchy tunes. If youre a fan buy it, you won't be disappointed!

Another fantastic album from Jamie T, had to wait a long time for him to release after his brilliant first two but well worth the wait. Love his lyrics & he hasn't lost any of his edge since his last release. One of my most played albums, welcome back Jamie.

I've been a fan of this brilliant artist since more or less the start of his recording career, but will have to hold my hands up in shame when I say that I have only began to seriously listen to 'Carry On The Grudge', his third album, fairly recently. Whilst it still has all the elements which have always made Jamie T stand out as highly unique, this album, his first in five years and released last year, shows an increased power in his range, and is without question, much more mature than his previous offerings. His song writing is considerably more intelligent, and the sound is more polished.

This engaging third album, focusing heavily on addiction, sees Jamie switch the bass for a guitar, and the master songwriter baring in his soul with lots of tender and dark songs, sounding at his most vulnerable, which is quite a contrast to the upbeat, immediately catchy tracks with their punchy, catchy choruses. Jamie has always shared a similar voice to that of Alex Turner, but this album has him sound more like the Arctic Monkeys than ever before, with tunes particularly similar to that band's 'AM' record.

Highlights include the gothic horror of 'Turn on the Light', the catchy punk-flavoured top 40 single 'Zombie', which is a nod to the sound of the younger Jamie, the very sweet and folksy 'Mary Lee', 'The Prophet', which runs at a nice pace, and 'Trouble', where you really could be forgiven for mistaking it for a new Arctic Monkeys' song on first hearing.

Five years is a very long time in the music business not to release an album, but Jamie T, whose real name is Jamie Alexander Treays, took his time to give us his best one to date. I'm glad that it's been a hit, resting comfortably in the top 5 within the first week of it's release, because this young lad deserves it. Welcome back Jamie!

I really enjoyed this album. From listening to his previous releases, it's refreshing to know Jamie's decided to have a change in direction, so to say, as this album brings a welcome sound to the talented songwriter's music. There are songs on this release which will please his older fans yet also others which move on as the roots of maturity begin to spread through this troubadour's creations and give the listener an uplifting message that this boys got a lot more to give.

My personal favourite is 'Zombie' because it is so catchy and undeniably Jamie T. Songs like 'The Prophet' and 'Trouble' are both very reminiscent of Billy Bragg and The Arctic Monkey's', respectively.

If this is the new direction for Mr...ahem...T, then this is very exciting indeed. I'm very anxious to see what the next few years will reveal from this gifted young man.
