We've all seen Carl's work in adverts and may have wondered how he did it - well, this book tells you how and much, much more! From initial sketches and the discussions with clients, through the trials of the painstaking experimentation & construction process, to the finished photographs, this book explains it all.

The photographs are stunning and the text is highly engaging.

This is sure to inspire countless classroom displays and you will never look at broccoli the same way again.

I bought this after seeing some of Warner's photos online. They are truly amazing - and this book explains how they were made. I particularly like the list of ingredients for each photo. It's really good fun just to study the pictures. Children enjoy finding things in the pictures - teachers might well find useful ideas here.

What a delightful and fascinating book on food and photography. Adults and children alike have been drawn to my copy of this book on many occasions. The photographer is so skilled and it is so lovely that he has decided to publish some of his work for others to see. I only hope that he continues to get such worthy commissions and produces a 2nd book - a really coffee table book to engage people with.

This book was delivered to me quickly, and although the condition was described as "shelf worn" I would say it was in perfect condition. It makes an excellent book for keeping on the coffee table and family members have been fascinated when they have looked through the pages. It also prompted me to purchase 2 of his 2014 calendars, one for myself and one was given to my daughter who resides in Germany as a stocking filler for Christmas. Well worth the purchase!

As a student interested in food photography, I found this book to be both informative and interesting. Of course the amazing photographs and detailed information about how the food-scapes were constructed helped me understand the complexity of creating a realistic or, at least, potential place that a person can see themselves in. Carl Warner's website has many more fantastic images and video clips that I am sure will entertain anyone interested in food.

He's a studio still life creative genius, and takes studio still life to a whole new level.

I've been a fan of Carl Warner's work for a few years now. But to actually see his work in print and his explanation on how he took them is fantastic. I got this book as a birthday present and I had to read it from cover to cover in a day as it was so interesting. I loved how he tells you a story behind the image. How he came up with the idea and then the task of making it happen.

Definatly my favourite photography related book. I can't wait for another one.
