The book was quite informative but the wording was in some places american. No pictures inside the book which was disappointing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible writing 10 Nov. 2013

The typos and poor grammar are extreme. There were times this person could not even form a cohesive sentence. How this thing got published, I don't know. Took a look thru it and it didn't seem to tell you anything new about kittens.

3.0 out of 5 stars Slightly prejudiced against cats, buuuut..... 7 Jun. 2010
By Adrianne Brooks - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book was surprisingly useful. I say surprisingly because I'm a dog person for the most part, and after reading through this I have the suspicion that that might have to do with the fact that I don't know how to deal with cats. Thanks to Elizabeth James' book on them I learned a lot more about cat habits, how to tame a wild one, cat personalities, and cat breeds than I ever wanted to know. Another thing that I realized while reading this book was that kittens are very much like babies. With a puppy, I feel pretty comfortable with letting him run around and chew on this and that. I do so with the belief that whatever he swallows he'll just barf right back up. Kittens apparently, are not as resilient. The book was an interesting read as long as you had any interest in felines, but otherwise it is not very useful. Oh, one more thing that I found surprising was that that whole myth about cats bathing themselves is NOT true. A major deduction in my opinion. I mean, a cat is flexible so it can be able to lick all grime away. That's why god created furballs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most excellent! 4 Jun. 2010
By Theresa Brown - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This books tell you every single detail about cats. It was a pleasure to read, and I must say I feel somewhat like an expert after reading this books. It goes on to tell you about the basic stuff about how to choose a cat and how to make a home cat friendly, and caring for your precious cat. It's a great book if you are thinking about getting a cat, if you already have a cat, and even how to approach and treat homeless cats! I now know all I need to go to get a kitten.

As the "mommy" to two females cats, that recently had litters of kittens, I can atest that this book is very informative, accurate information and helpful tips for everything from 'Before you get a kitten' to 'After you bring the kitten home.' Good job. Good read!
