HASH(0x9da1d54c) out of 5 stars by clinicians for clinicians 14 Oct. 2007
By Andrew Skiller - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
If your looking for a text that is to the point and is written by clinicians for clinicians then this text is for you. It should be prescribed for any nurse doing intensive care or cardiac post graduate course work and should be in every units library. It provides excellent coverage of issues relevant to any cardiac or general intensive care with up to date references. Its good to find a book that for once is not 10 000 pages long and does not break your arms caring it. It is a pity there is not more color inside in the diagrams but I am guessing that is the difference between a price of $300 vs $90 and the text does not suffer for it. Recommended ++

HASH(0x9da1b9a8) out of 5 stars For ICU health care providers 12 Jan. 2009
By Jeffrey R. Hansen - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
This is probably the best textbook for cardiology/cardiac surgery ICU units; not too expensive, and not overly wordy. I highly recommend it for all ICU physicians and pharmacists.
HASH(0x9e08d7bc) out of 5 stars Excellent read 11 Feb. 2011
By irya - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
Comprehensive review of topics with easy to read text. A good book for beginners in cardiothoracic posting and quick reviews for consultants. However, as most authors are from New Zealand, it tends to focus on the views of consultants from one country. Perhaps a better mixture of authors from around the world would give a better picture. Otherwise, it's a good buy
HASH(0xa036dae0) out of 5 stars It should be like $45-60. 9 April 2016

Considering the cost of this book, you will expect it to have detailed and more elaborating information. The information are briefed and there is not much diagram for proper illustration. I wonder why those people gave it a five star (just 8 people). It should be like $45-60.
