Hmmm. At first I was highly impressed with this, based on weight, build, look.
I switched form a Blue Snowball to this as in all fairness, whilst the Blue was perfect in terms of audio quality, to pop it on a mount was almost as expensive as buying a new mic (And rather unsightly too!). I took a chance on this mic.
I use the mic for vlogging and video game reviews and combine it with an arm mount and pop shield. Audio clarity is key for me as I require bass and top and mid in equal measure. I encountered a very odd issue at first with this mic. I was recording via Audacity - ensuring I didn't peak, keeping levels average... but every so often (upon playing back the recording) I would get an odd sublow boom noise which would distort all of the audio.
I contacted Auna to ask them about this. Auna ignored my e-mail. This really upset me. This is why I am dropping a star on this review. Their customer support is not up to scratch.
The issue has actually resolved itself and it seems to be behaving now. The audio is rich and warm and I very much like it. I wouldnt say it was as nice sounding as the Blue Snowball, but for the price it is very good.
