From the description I thought that this book would be really useful for me but there are 2 aspects of the book that I don't like.
Firstly there are dashs thoughout the book in place of figures. At first glance I thought that the dash meant nil but then I noticed that there are also zeros. On further investigation it does say that the dashes indicate data not available. I feel that this is used far too frequently thoughout the book. I don't believe that the book really provides much more information than available on the actual packaging. I was also particularly interested in items that do not come with labels for example fruit, vegetables and alcohol. Although these items are in the book when it comes to the sugar content it's just has the usual 'data not availble' dash.
Secondly it contains a lot of brand name products the majority of which I have never heard of and do not believe are available in the UK.
To be fair the introduction contains some good nutritional information, however this is a very small section. The book seems to be fairly well set out and may be more useful to those living in America.
Personally I have found it disappointing and wouldn't recommend it.
