Plot. A woman marries a wealthy man who is murdered the day they marry. She is distraught and tries to kill herslf in the bath but is found in time. She is persuaded to go into a sanitarium to rest and recover. Things start out ok in the place but very soon she realises that she is trapped and not going to get out.
Michael Ironside plays the cop looking into the murder and Erika Eleniak is the widow.
It's not a bad mystery drama with lots of little secrets going on as various people have their own agendas. We feel the widow's frustrations as things get worse for her. Dare I say it's an edge of the seat low budger film? I dunno but I found it entertaining.
Extras nil. UK Release.

Made for tv movie starring Erika eleniak as 'Samantha hoffmann' a newly wed whos husband has just been murdered. She then attempts suicide & winds up in a mental hospital.Samantha begins to suspect that something sinister & corrupt is taking place & that maybe she is being kept there against her will for financial reasons..
Non stop twists & turns throughout,a shock ending & a good performance from Erika but as with all suprise endings- not really a film you enjoy the second time around as you know what to expect!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as it sounds... 10 Aug. 2013

The mind whirls at the images of Erika Eleniak held captive in a mental institution at the mercy of the typically cruel and sadistic staff typically in these kinds of movies. Unfortunately, as a drama, it is not very dramatic and the movie makes no attempt to be a sexploitation film. Erika does look pretty good in it, gets a lot of screen time and her character's story arc has a nice twist in the end that redeems this movie, somewhat anyway.

Erika is a bad actress. IT has all the production values as a soap opera. I mean her acting is sooooooo sooooo bad!
