Product description

About the Author

Kim Lawrence was encouraged by her husband to write when the unsocial hours of nursing didn't look attractive! He told her she could do anything she set her mind to, so Kim tried her hand at writing. Always a keen Mills & Boon reader, it seemed natural for her to write a romance novel - now she can't imagine doing anything else. She is a keen gardener and cook and enjoys running on the beach with her Jack Russell. Kim lives in Wales.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pathetic...spoilers 22 May 2014
By Kindle Customer - Published on Amazon.com

Wow, even after he knows he made a mistake, he uses her repeatedly for sex. The heroine started out with a semi-backbone but lost it with her virtue. She cried and begged for him not to leave her. Where is your pride? He flaunted women in front of her to make her jealous and if the first one did not have to be somewhere one night, he would have slept with her. He was a terrible person, not just hero. He never made up for ANYTHING....not her losing the job she wanted, not for making mistake after mistake, and not for THROWING a diamond bracelet her way as "payoff". I disliked this so much. He just shows up at the airport and says one stupid line and she falls back in his arms. Pathetic!
3.0 out of 5 stars A predictable but quick read 10 Sept. 2014

The story line is predictable, but categories often are. I can't say I was overly enamored of the main characters, and the author really needs to learn to "show" rather than "tell."

And holy mother of all exclamation points!! Enough of them already!! This book is overflowing with them!! Seriously!!

Still, if you're looking for a quick read and know going in what you're likely to get, odds are you won't be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the genre 7 Sept. 2013
By Sandy Milan - Published on Amazon.com

Every so often I go on a binge of HP books and I really liked this one. The h is a good woman and also a teacher. She applies for a job in Scotland and more or less has the job when the H comes in at the last minute and destroys her chances. The H mistakes her for her cousin and doesn't bother to check his facts. Of course the h doesn't understand until later what has happened. The H's sister then employs the h to work with her child during the Summer and she stays in the same castle as the H. The H is a obviously hot and he's an ex-racing driver etc. The main characters have to work through all their misunderstandings and their attraction. It's an entertaining book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The H wasn't too awful or too alpha and the h wasn't too feisty.

Likeable characters, more or less believable plot, convincing happy ending. It's a short read, but none the worse for that.
2.0 out of 5 stars Writing is solid...characters unlikable 19 Sept. 2014
By Dee - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This was a story I struggled to enjoy. It was well-written but neither of the characters were worth rooting for. Cesare was just a jerk, making assumptions with no evidence other than the same hair color and he never apologizes. Anna is just a doormat and never changes that fact.
Lawrence wrote well but these characters were hard to like.
