What got me to buy is the h who's abducted and then sold into slavery on some isolated mining colony in another galaxy. The three heroes pool their resources and buy her from the alien trader. They want a woman of their own but are willing to share one who looks like Franny. I liked the idea of this story, and all the characters were likable, but I didn't feel the relationships/romance develop quite enough.

The h is a redhead, curvy, and I liked that she was willing to pacify these men in exchange for protection. I liked that feeling of coercion about the whole situation. One hero is Cade, I liked him best, as did Franny. It was an uneven ménage in that she's drawn to Cade first and foremost but then developed feelings for the other two guys. Still, I felt that Cade was the main guy, the most sexually attractive. Nebraska is the dark and brooding type, and Dawson seemed almost nerdy (but not quite), and all three guys were jealous of each other and wanted Franny to themselves. Each was sweet and noble in his own way. As for sex, there's no DP, no m/m contact, and I kind of wish the action had been a little more full on.

And I guess that sums up my feelings about the story and the romance: I just wish it had all been a little more. I wanted more romance, more interaction, more development. Not a bad read. It's just enough, some elements of it were even enjoyable, but more to it would have made it better. I'd be willing to give this author another try.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent and original take on a menage 11 April 2015
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

This was a different take on a menage romance in that none of the characters were exactly comfortable with the arrangement. Once again the heroine had a "too stupid to live" moment, but at least she realized the possibility add she was making it. The love between the characters didn't develop immediately, which was nice for a change. Unfortunately, the author never showed it happening either. The characters never sat down and talked through the issues of their relationships either, which leaves me wondering what will actually happen to them after their supposedly HEA. It was okay, but I was more interested in how their relationship would develop instead of the manufactured external conflict.

A short but good read. I would have liked a little more story but was still good. I really enjoyed how they took their time to fall in love.
