Format: Hardcover
Unlike some football books, The Captains Club has been really well researched and doesn't merely rely on regurgitating old match reports and score lines. Simon Wadsworth tells the stories of Man United's club captains in an engaging way. we discover and understand what qualities are required in a man who is chosen to be a Red leader on and off the field. Any student of football will enjoy this book because it tells real tales of the real people -and it is obviously written by a passionate fan with an understanding of the game.
