Having read The Pirate Hunter by Richard Zachs,I wanted to see what Craig Cabell, Graham Thomas and Allan Richards had to say about Captain KIDD, and whether they too thought he was well and truely stiched up by Lord Bellomont and others. This book is well researched, and goes along with Zachs to a large extent with regard to the disgraceful way that KIDD was treated [ specifically by certain people in high places at both the Admiralty and West India Company ] although the authors do not seem quite so sympathetic towards KIDD as Zachs. Whether KIDD was a pirate or privateer turned pirate or always a privateer whose arogance and sheer bad luck led to his eventual downfall is something we will probably never know.
An extremely good read
