There is a very basic handbook which tells you how to fit the batteries and memory card, but not much else (and remember the card is extra).
The online manual isn't clear, but there is a help button on the camera itself.
This is the bit that fooled me - The up arrow on the four way navigator switches between 'Auto' and 'Whatever Other Function you have selected'. Once you are in 'Whatever Other Function you have selected', you can change it to some other setting. I hope that is clear!
Otherwise, very nice pocket size camera with loads of functions, and, crucially, an optical viewfinder. Nothing worse than trying to compose a picture when you can't see the screen in bright sunlight. Very happy with it, glad I bought it (to replace a perfectly good pocket camera which lacked the optical viewfinder).

This Canon Powershot A130 Digetal Camera is so easy to use, if the weather is to sunny you then use the View Finder Lens at the top and away you go, you can see the scene then just click as normal, so much bedtter than trying to put your had over the screen to see if you have got all the contents in the picture. Also it as a very easy to use Video, so you have everything you need in both a camera and a video all in one, also such a good price. It is so good I have had to order more of these cameras for my family.

This is a cheap camera which has a optical viewfinder and takes standard AA batteries including rechargables.
I bought this camera to take photos when i am out hiking often in bright sunlight when it is difficult to see a screen display and this is what it does best.
The picture quality is not bad for a cheap camera, but is a bit noisy when enlarged greatly. It is a little more bulky because of the AA batteries and the viewfinder.
The case is rigid and strong which protects the camera, but has no provision for a strap so has to be carried.
I am willing to take this camera to the beach and other places where I wouldn't take my more expensive cameras for fear of loss or damage.

I chose this camera because it has an optical viewfinder - I wear contact lenses for distance requirements which makes it more difficult to see a small camera screen. The day after the camera arrived there was heavy snow in my area which was a good opportunity to take some photos. One of them was published in my local newspaper, along with others, which was quite satisfying - bearing in mind that a lot of photos of the snow must have been submitted. The batteries that I used only lasted for about 20 photos, so getting re-chargeable ones is a good idea. After about 25 photos a 'memory card error' message appeared, and there wasn't the option of re-formatting the disk so I bought another from the list of recommended ones on the Canon product website - so far, so good.

We bought this camera for our Mother's 78th birthday and set it up for her before we handed it over. The display screen was very clear and easy to see and we found it incredibly easy to navigate our way around the functions. We set it up so that she can either use the viewfinder, which she has been used to or point and shoot.
The control buttons are larger than those of other digital cameras and not too technical. We demonstrated the functions so that she finds it easy to understand because not everyone can learn from a book. I am pleased to say she has used it but as yet not had any photo's developed.

The main reason I bought this camera was that it had a viewfinder as well as a screen, I find that the viewfinder is the best and easy to use, there are not many cameras that have a viewfinder, plus it has 16.0 mega pixels, the case is great.

Bought for the viewfinder, well up to expectations, good resolution, easy controls, good battery life. Battery compartment makes it easy to hold.

I find this camera to be excellent value and the pictures obtained with it are good. Again, the eye viewfinder was the sole reason for this choice although care is needed to avoid parallex error. However, it was lucky that it arrived to me unbroken since it was only packed in an inadequate, third hand, torn and partly repaired with tape Jiffy bag. The camera as supplied by Canon has no protection inside the box so appropriate packing for post by the retailer is essential.

This shoddy p&p was charged at over £29 so the retailer gets nil points!

The vendor originally sent it to the wrong customer in Holland and I still have the headphones they sent to me in error. I have asked them if they want me to return these but I have had no answer for over two weeks now.

I will avoid this supplier in the future.
