Have found this printer to be the best for A3 photographs, I always use Canon Photo paper plus glossy ll - A3 and A4 and have found 100% crisp clear photographs, again it depends on what camera you use and how the photograph was taken. I have the Nikon D800 and have won photograph competitions with the A3 photos from this printer. I buy the Canon XL inks and never buy compatible inks as this clogs up the jets. In the end you get what you pay for...
Paper is loaded at the top, have found no problems and would highly recommend this product

I bought this printer in December 2014 overall the print quality is superb but there a a few things to be aware of a. Use Canon paper all other papers are hit & miss with this printer b. Use the highest print settings for Photographs the lower ones look awful c. the Wi-Fi set-up is a nightmare to the point Ive given up and the printer is networked by ethernet. Ive found the feeders to be gine and the CD printing, I would also recommend buying the XL inks they last longer and work out cheap per print.

I have used many printers over the years and this printer comes quite high. I am getting very good results. Easy to setup quite cheap to run if you use third party materials which I do, when canon bring there prices down I will be the first use them. I'm getting good printing result using third party materials. I print more A3 size or two A3 and join them together. When not printing for some time the ink doesn't dry out so this printer is ideal.

I bought this printer primarily with CD / DVD-printing in mind. The print-to-disc function works very well but the default colour saturation seems to be too dark without adjustments, which fortunately are flexible enough to include a 'light' saturation setting as well as manual brightness adjustments.

However, after only a few days of use, I have experienced serious problems with paper-handling on CD jewel case papers such as Avery and Phoenix. The printer very often fails to load the reverse side of the paper to the correct position before starting printing, with the result that it either starts printing too high up (ruining the entire paper) or starts printing off the sheet altogether while failing to load the paper properly. Either way, a huge amount of expensive ink and time is wasted. On the Avery paper this happens once in about every three prints; on the Phoenix paper it is happening about four times out of five so far.

For a printer that is speifically designed to print on to CDs and DVDs, you might have thought it reasonable to expect that it could handle CD jewel case papers consistently too, but it doesn't. I'm deeply disappointed by this limitation. Buyer be warned!
