Quality & Performance

Genuine Canon inks deliver exceptional results

Thanks to the 2 picolitre ink droplets from Canon's class-leading FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print engine which delivers a fantastic resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi, the PIXMA MX435 produces vivid, detailed photos and the crispest text. It can print a 10 x 15cm (4 x 6") borderless photograph in approx. 46 seconds, giving you photo-lab quality output at incredible speed.

Canon XL ink cartridges

The PIXMA MX435 also has very fast document print speeds – 9.7 IPM† in black and white or 5.5 IPM† in colour with an A4 colour copy time of 21 seconds and an A4 colour scan time of 15 seconds. Plus, Quick Start allows almost instant operation the moment the power is switched on, meaning you never waste time waiting for the PIXMA MX435 to ‘warm up’

The quality of the ink you use can make the difference between dull or vibrant colours, between blurry or sharp photo prints and between prints that fade easily and those that keep their quality for a lifetime. That’s why Canon spares no effort in developing the inks and systems that deliver the quality prints your photos deserve. In short, genuine Canon inks are the lifeblood of your PIXMA.

Canon XL ink cartridges are perfect for people who print a lot. XL ink cartridges let you print up to 3 times more pages than standard cartridges (page yield of up to 600 pages) whilst offering 50% cost savings per page*. As a result, people who use XL cartridges will need to change their cartridges less frequently and will also benefit from significant cost savings.

Connectivity

Print wirelessly from any Wi-Fi computer

You can print to the PIXMA MX435 wirelessly from any Wi-Fi enabled computer and its Wi-Fi support (Wi-Fi ‘N’ CERTIFIED) enables wider compatibility. In addition, thanks to a PictBridge connection you can also conveniently print photos directly from your digital camera and camcorder.

Print from your portable Apple device with Apple AirPrint

Apple AirPrint allows you to wirelessly print from any of Apple’s portable devices, such as an iPhone, iPad and iPod touch (iOS 4.2 or above). Apple AirPrint automatically finds your Wi-Fi enabled PIXMA and lets you wirelessly print photos, tickets, emails and reports with no setup required. Simply hit ‘print’ and collect from the tray.

Additionally, with the free Canon Easy-PhotoPrint App (available to download from the iTunes App Store or Android Market) you can also wirelessly print from your compatible Apple or Android devices. With this application you can also scan documents directly from the printer and send them to your smartphone or tablet for true flexibility.

Ease of use

FastFront design means it can sit discreetly anywhere

The FastFront feature makes replacing ink cartridges and loading paper quicker and easier because it can all be done from the front. Introducing this feature not only makes life easier when using the printer on a daily basis but it has also allowed the printer to be redesigned so that it is more compact. This enables it to be placed closer to a wall or on a shelf because it takes up less space.

Fully Integrated ADF (Auto Document Feeder)

The PIXMA MX435's built-in fully integrated 30-sheet ADF allows batch copying, scanning or faxing of documents without having to load them one at a time. Alternatively, when scanning in several documents separately on the flatbed, Reserve Copy allows you to scan the next document whilst waiting for the first to be processed.

Because the ADF is fully integrated it lies flush with the body of the printer, meaning it's easier to fit into tight spots. A sloping front panel also allows for easy scanning and copying of over-sized and thick objects like books and folders.

Automatically scans just about anything

Premium quality scanning is quick, simple and easy with the integral Auto Scan Mode. It detects your original, e.g. photo, business card or letter, then automatically scans and saves the image with the appropriate settings, all without any prompt from you. You can also scan directly to a USB stick or memory card to quickly share scanned files and with the included Canon MP Navigator EX software you can convert hard-copy documents to searchable PDFs and add password protection.

High speed fax

The Super G3 Fax is fast and reliable. You can use it as a conventional fax or send faxes directly from your computer without printing the document first. It also features 20 coded speed dials and 50 page fax memory for increased efficiency. The built-in USB port and memory card slot also mean you can save faxes or scanned documents directly to an external storage device without the need for a computer.

Just had this printer a week and was easy to set-up with wi-fi to my Sony laptop which prints photo's and documents with ease. My Samsung Jet mobile phone prints with it via bluetooth with no problems also. With my Ipad2, however, things are a little different: it will easily print a photo through the Canon Easyprint app but will not print a document (or photo) with airprint. It always comes up with 'printer not found' for some reason and I believe this is a common problem with airprint printers according to other people's reviews. Am I missing a setting somewhere? Still, the Canon MX435 does a fine job with documents and photo's, copies and scans well too. For the money, highly recommended.

So far, so good. Had a HP printer for years but thought I would have a change as, when looking for another HP printer, I noticed the price range had gone up so much. Also when I ordered a HP printer I liked, (from an official HP supplier), two days later I got an e-mail telling me, although it showed as in stock and I paid for it, it was in fact out of stock? Not impressed!
Hence my change to Cannon, which so far has only been a good thing. Much easier to set up, does not seem to take so much space up on my computer, much faster print than my old HP. Sometimes it seemed to take an age to print a simple letter and, patience would have to be a virtue if you wanted to print photo's!! Along with its nice slick look and the added feature of the fax, not yet set up or used, but is there if I want it, I am very pleased with it's performance so far.
Original cartridges are a bit more expensive but, as I have had the printer nearly a month now, with printing matter being done at least every other day, I am still using the sample ink cartridges sent with the printer.

For those who read the 1 star reviews that say that the printer is hard to install it's not. It has basic instructions you can have it up and running in about 20 minutes including unboxing. Ink cartridges are easy to install no need to use force like other printers. It prints fast and very well, double sided printing is easy, scanner is great. Setting up a wireless connection took ~10 seconds with pressing the WPS key on the router.

The only downside of the printer so far is that the loaded paper sticks out which is fine but it would look much neater if it were inside the printer like the other more expensive Canon printers.

I received this product today after my Ricoh GX 3050SFN had an 0990 error which I couldn't correct even though following instructions sent directly from Ricoh. To have Ricoh come to fix the problem was expensive. So I went on Amazon and chose this Canon MX435 printer as the price was right and it also did scanning, copy and fax. Installing was a breeze. I used the scan and copy right away and it was perfect. The scanner was much quieter than the Ricoh GX 3050. Copying was just a press of a button. The print quality was excellent. I highly recommend this product. It was also much lighter than the Ricoh which is very heavy in my opinion. I don't know yet how much it will cost to replace the ink cartridges. Instead of individual cartridges as in the Ricoh for CMYK, the MX435 has only two cartridges - a black cartridge and the colour cartridge. The printer is a very glossy black which I don't mind. It has wireless connection too but I couldn't figure that out. I usually use a usb connection anyway but wireless would have been good as I also have a laptop. I'm happy nevertheless.

Bought to replace the very exopensive and quite useless Epsom I purchased. This printer is simplicity itself to set up and use. Goodbye to all those frustrating paper jams and error messages tht were an everyday feature of the Epsom.

I've had a number of all-in-one printers over the years, mostly HP, but this one has been the most difficult to set up. The more a machine does, the more there is to set up and this always adds to the difficulty level. I bought mine from Argos for the amazing price of £49.99. On the Argos website it describes as having Bluetooth which is does not. In order to enable Bluetooth you have to buy the dongle from Canon (BU-30) which is at the moment of writing, on Amazon reduced from £89.99 to £57.99. This is much more than the printer cost me so I'm not sure why it's so expensive. Other Bluetooth dongles are much cheaper, but I've tried and old HP one I have and it won't work. I suspect that you have to by the Canon at the inflated price which doesn't warm me to this maker. I just find Bluetooth useful sometimes but wifi does a similar job I suppose.
The first problem was entering my wifi key. I couldn't see a way of entering a letter (rather than a number) as there was no indication on the printer's keyboard as to how this could be achieved. I had to Google the question and found that pressing the asterisk, enabled letter and capitals to function - I couldn't have guessed that one!
However for the price I paid, this machine does a lot. The auto feed is particularly useful if I want to copy a few pages at once I don't have to feed each one in by hand. Yes it's fairly noisy but no more than other machines I've had.
The cartridges are also about the same price over all. There is one colour cartridge rather than the three in some machines. I have always replaced all three colours each time as they all run out at the same time, so this one cartridge just makes it easier.
I won't be using the fax but it's there if I need to.
