The printer footprint is bigger than my previous Pixma but about the same as the Epson so in all I have gained some desk space back. The design is pretty sleek with controls via a front panel touch screen which is pretty intuitive to use.
I am using it on my home Wi-Fi router, installation was fairly straightforward although I needed to manually enter the access point during set up as the automatic process didn't reliably pick it up despite being about 2m away from the wireless access point!
So far I have used it for scanning receipts for my business which is done via the top plate which has a double hinged lid which will be useful If I have to scan something from a book for example. Unlike the Epson there is no Automatic Document Feed so it doesn't have that convenience which is especially useful for scanning/copying a lot of pages or double sided pages, but as the majority of my copying/scanning are single sheets and single sided that isn't much of a loss for me.
Text and graphic printing is really clear and better than my previous printers. Photo printing also very good, although initially slightly darker than the on screen image but chosing a different colour management option from Photoshop sorted that out.
So far very pleased with the results.
Thank you for your request and for contacting Canon.
Unfortunately, due to changes made by Apple in the OS X operating-system, it is no longer possible to use the physical scan-button on your PIXMA MG7750 to initiate a scanning-task.We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
This seems a very poor response for all Mac users, particularly since this is their latest, top of the range machine, which they seem unable to support.
To cover the usual chestnuts, I find the printer way quieter than my previous HP, the speed of printing is again quicker than I am used to, I see no problem with the pre printing procedure, which is quick and does not go on for ages wasting ink as some reports have stated. Finally the quality of the B&W printing is excellent and the picture printing is the best I have ever had on a home printer, fabulous.
The print quality on text is very sharp and clear, with no signs of smudging etc. When it come to photo printing, the results are outstanding for a printer in this price range. Good clear colours, nice contrast and a sharp image.
Setting up the printer on WiFi was really simple. However, setting up for cloud printing took a bit longer to fathom. I've yet to get printing via NFC from my NFC enabled phone, but that's not too important as I'll never use it (was just trying the function) as cloud is more useful!
For what it's worth, I think the Canon Pixma MG7750 Printer is excellent value for money and would recommend to anyone I know.
The only thing I would mark down for, is the terrible canon cloud print software which really doesn't do it any justice what so ever, however you can program it for Google Cloud Print directly from the system and print directly from your Google Apps or your Google Print application once you've installed it on your computer - from anywhere. When you get home, turn the printer on, and it goes off and collects the Google Print jobs.
