Canon Media Storage M30
If you own a Canon EOS this seems like a great idea. It even looks and operates like the back of an EOS camera. If you've a 30D/40D (or another EOS that uses the BP511) then you've even more incentive to get one since they share the same battery (and have you seen the price of a spare!?)

However the whole product is flawed. You are supposed to be able to pop in a CF from your EOS, press the backup button, and have all that day's pics transferred with no fuss. However first time I tried (after I'd taken 444 RAW pics+small JPGs, totalling 888 files) it froze and completely failed to take them. Worse still, I could only turn it off by removing the battery - never a good sign.

At this price you think you could do this each day and have it transfer on the new pics you'd taken to that card, but this is way beyond the capabilities of this unit. It defaults to JPG only, thus every time you switch it on you have to reset it into 'All Files' mode. Battery life is hopeless, it chews this up at a rapid rate.

All in all, a flawed piece of kit. Am now looking for a substitute.
