Format: Paperback
This little work is a masterpiece, it is "Casse-Pipe" finally translated into English. During WW2 Celine was hiding out for his life in a dirty, cramped Parisian flat with a bunch of cats, birds, and so called 'pals', he just finished writing the 3rd virulent pamplet in 1941 which basically ruined his literary career. He hadn't worked on 'casse-pipe' in quite some time. The novel dealt with Celine's inauguration into the French calvary, some of the most explosive writing is found here. Well, turns out Celine's apartment was broken into and someone stole the manuscript. Bits and pieces have surfaced over the years and this is that collection. It would have been a wonderful novel if completed! It's raw and mesmerizing!
