cannot believe that i am the first to review this book. its a good read and an enjoyable story. the author has his quirks but then so do all of us. am glad i purchased it. It made for good reading on the way to work. its quite a new perspective on the drug trade as the author had to start from scratch learning as he went. i liked the section on visiting Amsterdam to try and buy products for growing his own and also liked the fact that much of the story is set in the valleys of Wales. I thought I'd found a good read here
But after a while I started to think this is nonsense
I was enjoying the book when he was going to Amsterdam and just starting out
But once he gets established at growing his own it becomes a bit tired and a lot weird
He tries to have you believe that he conducts interviews to fill vacancies for help growing cannabis
But he doesn't tell the job hopefully what job they will be doing
But they must go into the welsh mountains with him and strip off naked in the freezing cold for hours
And they must get tied up a lot when they return from the mountains this is all to prove your the right sort of guy for the job which you don't even know what it entails,
Yeah I can really see that happening
Anyway after realising its a load of BS I quit.

must read if you like true crime storys , must be the biggest dope growing factory ever in the uk, over 4000 plants run as a business,by a straight business type man, honest account of 10 years growing skunk weed ,on a industrial scale .

Well worth a read. I bought this book and read the first time in 2013, decided to read again over Christmas. You can relate to Mark if you are an everyday citizen trying to get ahead. Was slightly miffed though that the reasons behind being caught were not revealed or explained, as this was the "Hollywood" bust for North Wales police, you would have thought their method of detection would have played a big part in it.I just wander that maybe an error on Marks part got him caught and it would have tainted his otherwise meticulous and detailed operation and then subsequently altered the story somewhat.Once you read you will know exactly what I mean.

With the follow up promised in March 2013, I gathered all would be revealed then. March came and went and no book. I then forgot about it until recently and have since purchased , along with the others too.
If true stories are your thing, then it is certainly worth a read but not if you get too hung up on typo's and the odd grammatical oversight.
