The "recipes included" part is a bit of a misnomer, too. There are ten whole recipes in this "book". Ten. If that doesn't make you feel ripped off, maybe this will (from Chapter 8): "Oh, by the way, the pictures presented in the recipes are not actually the dishes themselves. Most of them are related to the recipes. They are there to make you think of food, and nothing else". WHAT????? I mean.... WHAT???? I'm living off a restricted diet of seeds, nuts, and kale and you're printing pictures of food I CAN'T HAVE??
I'm guessing that English is not Mr. Burks first language. No harm there- but it's obvious his editor's first language wasn't English, either. There are parts of the book that are almost unreadable. The sentence structure is JUST that bad. And there is no substantive material in here. As a matter of fact, some of it is downright confusing and some of it is even contra-indicated for the most common anti-candida programs (don't eat eggs, for example; again, no reason given). The case for "curing" candida is exactly one and a half pages long and can be summed up like this: drink water, take supplements, reduce probiotics. It's a reductionist's version and the author takes NO pains to go into any detail about any of it. (See comments above about second grade writing skills). You'd be better served looking up candida's Wikipedia page.
I've been researching the anti-candida diet for more than a year now and have been working very closely with a doctor to monitor my own gut issues. I'm happy to report that I've had great success using a combo of antifungals, herbs, and diet recommendations from other publications, specifically "The Complete Candida Yeast Guidebook". I have found "The Candida Cure: Yeast, Fungus & Your Health", as well as the [...] to be some of the best resources out there. (I also recommend working with a doctor). "The Candida Cure" is chock FULL of great information . And if you're looking for ACTUAL recipes, this is your go-to guide.
Don't bother with "How to cure candida naturally in 30 days with candida". It's birdcage liner. It's a poorly written second grader's term paper. It's terrible. And It's going straight into the recycling can.
