"Doug Richards shows age is no barrier as he reaches his goal of completing seven half marathons on seven continents before his 70th birthday. A testament to the power of running and its ability to change lives for the better. Doug shows no sign of slowing down with a four island adventure planned for 2019 involving two oceans, two seas and 10 races from 5K to a marathon." --MidlandsRunningGuide.com
"The author takes us with him as he aims to complete his goal of running in seven different continents, before he starts his seventh decade. I'm in my fourth decade, and I've only done two (the Isle of Wight is one, right?)" --FetchEveryone.com
"Doug's enthusiasm for running and the benefits it bestow is infectious, but he could hardly be called 'preachy' as he pursues his dream of competing at least a half marathon on all seven continents before his 70th birthday. Here, we see him tackling all manner of daunting challenges, while making friends the world over. Inspirational." --SportsBookoftheMonth.com

I truly hope that my future retirement, looks like something closely resembling this. Your family are extremely proud of your achievements Dad, you inspire us all daily and we'll support your running adventures, for many more years to come... and we know there will be MANY more years to come!
Congratulations on your second book! Love from Chris, Lynne and Holly xxx
Well what can I say, a book that I could not put down once I finally started it.
I thoroughly enjoy how Doug describes his running adventures and if you shut you eyes you can picture the scene as if you were there.
The book has opened my mind more to the struggle of those suffering from anxiety. My daughter suffers from anxiety and one quote in the book that Doug made about when asked what's causing the anxiety and the answer was ' if I knew I'd be able to do something about it ' has really struck home with me and it's exactly what my daughter says!
I would thoroughly recommend reading this book and if haven't read Doug's first book then I would also recommend you reading it aswell.
Doug, you are an inspiration to the running community and I hope you complete many many more runs before hanging up your running shoes!
Great book again!
I was even moved to tears at the end.
Whether you are a runner or a traveller there’s something in this for you
It's amazing what can be achieved even when the going gets tough and Doug has certainly had more than his fair share of tough. For me, what's really inspiring is reading about how passionate Doug is about introducing running to those as a tool to help with life's challenges and how much support he's had from like-minded people when he's struggled himself.
I am in awe of the places Doug has visited and I'm so glad he's been able to share his journey (the good bits and the bad bits) through his books.
