Given the insulation, these can be a tight fit in some packs designed just to take the inner sleeve in a pocket. There are 4 clips on the cover that could connect to strapping on a rucksack although I'm yet to find one where the webbing is in the right place and its better inside so it doesn't flop about.
We have had to send one of these back recently although its the first time I have had any problems. These have a quick opening that requires less than a quarter turn and when full any flex on the filling handle by the filling port was enough to leak some water. I suspect this was just a one off however from a poor seal.
The pack keeps water cool for quite a long period depending on whether the pack is exposed to the sun or if it is left in your bag and as long as you don't leave water in the tube, it tastes fresh every time.
Buyer beware though as if you leave the bladder in the case/bag provided then the capacity of the bladder is more realistically about 1.5-1.6 litres, not the 2 litres stated. For the protection and the insulation offered by the case/bag I always keep the bladder inside, but then have to accept I may need to fill up the unbottle at a pit stop somewhere around the walk.
Would I buy this again? Quite honestly, I would and even knowing the capacity is a little smaller than I would like (with the bladder in the case/bag) it still lasts a good 3 hour walk.
