5.0 out of 5 stars Very useful 4 July 2013

I am in an outrigger canoe team where chances for hydration are rare if you can't access your hydration pack while paddling. This helps a lot, and helps keep the beverage in the tube cool if you don't have time to blow it back into the hydration bladder. In a sport that prefers Vest-Pac to Camelbak, this one piece helps make Camel-Bak work in my situation, although I do twist it around the front harness to keep it stabilized and in the right position.

5.0 out of 5 stars Small but Solid Additions 16 May 2013
By Master Reviewer - Published on Amazon.com

This is like the stock Camelbak tube, but with two additions: It has a wire so you can bend the tube and keep it in place, and is has an insulating sleeve. For the summer, the insulating sleeve should keep you from getting that first sip of warm water. In the winter, I often put the tube through my armpit to keep it from freezing up. With this tube, the extra insulation should provide minor protection against the freezing, and you can bend it so that it stays under your armpit. Minor changes that make for much increased convenience!

4.0 out of 5 stars Right where i need it. 25 April 2013

I like the fact that the tube is insulated and figured out that it is just a wire running inside of the insulation material. So, that means it is pretty easy to make one if you are so inclined. For me i liked the tube director after i got use to it. I found it annoying at first to have it hit my eye when putting my bag on/off and not paying attention to where the tube was placed. I was use to it just hanging via gravity. Overall, this is a cool upgrade to my Camelbak and gets used a lot. I'd buy it again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good improvement 6 Sept. 2013

Even though the “hot water effect” (well known by Camelbak owners) isn’t that improved by this product, as the neoprene cover barely addresses such problem, the fact this tube is semi-rigid like a doll’s arm makes it possible to have a hands free water source while exercising, as you can place the water valve close enough to your mouth and it will stay in place.

4.0 out of 5 stars Keeps my bite valve from getting gross. 21 Jun. 2015
By Wyldlife - Published on Amazon.com
I got this at my local bike shop. I was not sure if it would fit with my Osprey hydration pack so I needed to be able to take it out of the box and check it. The good news is we were able to get it to work but it was a bit of a struggle. There is a piece that connects to the bladder at the end of the hose that is specific to Camelbak. In order to get it to fit my pack we had to "simply" pull that piece out, but simple it was not. It was so hard to yank out that I thought for sure it was glued in. We tried pliers, and all kinds of shop tools to no avail. What we wound up doing is soaking that end in a cup of hot water to make the plastic expand and that finally did the trick. After that I simply connected the hose to my pack and it worked great. Now I only bought this because it makes the hose bendable. I hated when I put my pack down on a bench or the ground and the bite valve would be on the ground, or worse yet the a$$ end of a dirty park bench. This keeps the bite valve always suspended so I don't have to worry or think about it. I live in pretty warm weather, as of today it is 112 degrees and the first sip is still warm. I wish it was cooler but I didn't really buy it for that. I bought it so I don't have to sip a$$ or whatever gross things the ground contains. Works well for that.
