Excellent backpack! I looked at and tried on several unisex and womens packs before settling on this one. The 's curve' straps on the womens models are definitely a millions times more comfortable! I went for this model as the waist strap is removable (it's not a weight bearing strap, just for stability when cycling etc), it has the newer bladder, plenty of room for extra layers & food, organiser pockets in the front compartment for smaller items and two outer pockets for bottles. It's a great size - big enough for a day out hiking, but not too big to use on days out with the family to theme parks etc. I just wish Camelbak still made their bigger packs with the integrated rain covers - they now sell them extra. The 3L antidote bladder comes with the new 'quick link' (some of the cheaper models I looked at like the cloud walker and day star didn't have it). You need to have it if you want to use their accessories like the inline carbon filter or the insulated tube. Even if you don't want to use the accessories, it makes it easier to disconnect the tube to remove the bladder from the pack. I'd recommend buying the mouthpiece cover - to be honest it should be included, not £5 extra - but it's worth it to keep it clean!
Love it! No more fiddling with water bottles! plus enough room for a change of clothes/extra layers, snacks, that emergency pack of wipes... plus camera and maps. Side pockets are great and the loops, straps, and clips are all well designed and useful. have now used it frequently, often, and a lot - still in great nick, very comfortable and balances the load evenly so you don't feel like you're going to topple with that little bit of over reach. Also recently had my tripod and poles in the middle section, held them securely and easily. Accessible... only if it's on someone elses' back. But none the less a good quality product, backed by a good name. Actually looking for one in more 'manly' colours right now for my dad.
Good and practical, although internal compartments could be better designed to access all you need on a trek more easily. Not sure why it is 'designed for women': as others have commented the straps are the same thickness and structures as the mens/unisex range. So they fit fine, but you do seem to pay a premium for essentially a nice purple edging. At this price, I'd expect a cover for the mouthpiece and ideally also a waterproof cover.
