An occasional visitor to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, I've long been intrigued by the long forgotten WW2 airfields of Cambridgeshire. In particular I've long wanted to learn more about Castle Camps, the satellite base for the RAF base at Debden , Essex. This book ticks all the boxes, Graham Smith writes an excellent account of each airfield, their resident units and fascinating episodes from their operations. A super book.

This is another extensively researched and well written book by Graham Smith, author of a number of similar books for southern & east anglian counties. The text and pictures combine well to give an overall picture of the extent and dramas of flying activities in the area during the Second World War. Very good value and highly recommended for those interested in knowing more about what went on.
