Just like last year's this is a lovely calendar and will be a sure hit for any Rupert Fan.
Again for those of us who love the 'old style' before the 'debacle' of recent Years Rupert annuals (2008 and 9 ) the months depicted are a joy.
There are two versions of the calendar each has the same Rupert Annual features on each month but the cover of one shows the JUNE month as its cover. What is different is that one shows the outer cover as the book from June, John Harold whereas the other has the one shown on Amazon although I have not actually seen that version myself.
But who looks at the front cover only its the fabulous months inside that count when
It features a different classic cover of the original Rupert Annuals.
Each one brings a warm happy memory to readers of a certain age (including myself) of days of childhood when the Rupert Bear Annual was something we all looked forward to receiving at Christmas.
The Calendar is on two pages one features the annual book cover and the other the days of the week with plenty of room to write those important facts down BUT I suspect just like last years many won't as they would feel it sacrilegious to despoil such a wonder piece of art, rather like an adult drawing in an original Rupert Annual?
A word of warning though get this calendar while you can last year they sold like hotcakes and many people were left disappointed.
Watch this space in ten year's time for 'immaculate 2011 Rupert Calendars' at 'Heirloom' prices.

I just bought one and I am very pleased with it. A superbly produced high quality calendar, showing a different annual cover for each month. Decent size day squares to write those important memos in. A cracking stocking filler, birthday gift or present to yourself to enjoy throughout 2011.

Rupert, sad as it may sound to some, is the best and foremost good memory from my childhood. We had a Rupert Annual every year. No idea what happened to most of them, handed down to younger children no doubt. Beautiful illustrations and wonderful characters. Although I still buy the Rupert Annual as I am a collector, to me the stories and illustrations from my bygone years i.e. 1960s are still the best and this calendar provides me with a lot of nostalgia from an era when children were children and a simple book about a bear and his adventures gave pleasure to so many. Lovely.
