I am not exactly sure what I was expecting when I bought this book. By title I wasn't sure if it was going to lean more towards the Bible story of Cain or something completely different. My friends were discussing how good it was but giving me little details (I now know why). As I started reading the book, I soon learned I was reading a wonderful story with references to the Bible Story. The story took a bit of time to develop for me but once it did, I was captivated to the point I read into the wee hours of the morning and wouldn't of stopped when I did except I had to get a little sleep before work.

I don't do spoilers and even sitting to write this review I have stopped and started several times because everything I want to say gives away more than I think is fair to a new reader. So I will say this book does have a good love story to it; both the love of family and that of a man and his lady. The book is a suspenseful thrilling tale as well. You follow the main character, Elias Cain, as he learns not only his families epic secrets but the dark well kept secret that will threaten everything Elias believed to be it the truth. Elias comes to terms with his family duty while keeping his family and lady safe. Again that is putting it very mildly but without spoiling this truly magnificent thrilling tale, it's aptly put.

If I had to give one complaint it would be that it ended in a cliffhanger. I do HATE cliffhangers. However, this is one book when it ended, while I wanted to cuss the author for leaving me hanging, I understood his reason for doing so. Now it's just a matter of praying part 2 is due out in the very near future. If you like suspense and thrilling storylines, this is the book for your. Well Done Mr. Raven and may I add my hat is off to you for an awesome a 1st time book.

I absolutely loved this continuation of the Cain series! This story picks up right where book one left off. It will grip you from page one, keep your heart pounding till the end and leave you craving more. I can't wait for book three to see where this series takes me next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Fabulous! 26 Oct. 2016

You know how most of the time the squeal never lives up to the original movie, or at times when a book ends on a cliffie the next book just doesn't quite measure up? Well that is not the case here. Just WOW. I think I was even more blown away with Cain - Rage of Angels (book 2) than I was Cain - Sins of the Father. I have to admit I honestly didn't see how this book could top the first one but amazingly it has - at least for me. Not only in the story-line but in the mechanics of the book. I am not sure if mechanics is the appropriate term but this book shows a marked growth in the author's writing abilities. Mr. Raven's ability to tell a story was never in doubt, at least not to me, but the way this book is written, I as the reader felt every page as I read it. I felt the pain, the sorrow, the horrors and the joy right along with the characters. I felt the overall sense of helplessness and empowerment that was woven throughout the entire book.

For a book of this type to have such a "believability" quality is simply amazing to me as well. I finished the book and simply sat staring and wondering now what? Where does such a remarkable storyline go from here without losing it's grip (because that is exactly what this book will do; grip your heart, your mind and your imagination). I honestly don't have an answer for that yet, but I have no doubt Mr. Raven does and this reader will be standing at the front of the line to see just where he goes with it from here. 2 Thumbs Up for an Awesome Book and series that is a MUST read.

5.0 out of 5 stars "This ONE would challenge Lucifer and be the catalyst for the next war of the angels..." 25 Oct. 2016

I've been eagerly anticipating this release...the wait was worth it! 5 RAGING STARS! What an AMAZING follow up to Cain Sins of the Father (which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND be read first)! Author Elias Raven masterfully draws you into his mind. He brings to life his characters with his descriptive words; connecting and engaging the reader. No matter what genera you prefer; the elements of poetic verse, biblical undertones, high tech weapons and gadgets, and witty one liners; make this read the complete package for any reader. I can't wait to hear more stories told by this talented man!!
A case of sibling rivalry at its most vicious. Cain Rage of Angels is a thrilling and exciting action packed journey of one man's determination to eliminate evil and restore good. Are Elias Cain and his men prepared enough to "dance with the devil?" Will they succeed in their quest to "pee in his cheerios?" Don't miss out on this great story. Grab Cain Sins of the Father and Cain Rage of Angels today!!!

No one has the ability to write a story like this Author does. This is a book for both sexes its action packed and keeps you wondering than at the end it has you salivating for more. I have never read a version of a biblical story such as Cain & Abel like this before. Well done Mr. Raven can't wait to see what you have installed next for your readers and fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars First it started with Cain – Sins of the Father and I was blown away with that story of eternal love and Heaven and Hell 29 Oct. 2016

How do I begin? First it started with Cain – Sins of the Father and I was blown away with that story of eternal love and Heaven and Hell. Wow!! Just Wow! And then the waiting for this book began. When it finally landed in my Kindle I immediately started reading. Was the plot easy to follow? Well if you can keep up with all the twist and turns and mysteries of this of this story, then yes it was easy to follow. The plot line for this book is the oldest story in biblical history, but Elias Raven makes it his own story in such a way that you can’t imagine it any other way. This book is less of a love story and more of a story of battle and war, or plots and deception, which is something I never thought would interest me but it certainly has.

The characters are many and each has his own back story, which Elias does a fine job of weaving them into his tale of good and evil. I was so enthralled that meals were missed, sleep was deprived, I couldn’t stop reading just one more chapter. I’ve never read a book like this before, one that had so many points of view and it totally worked for me. I am definitely a new fan of this Author and I look forward to the hopefully final chapter in this series.

I ran the gamut of emotions here, from grief to a giggle, it was all so captivating. If you read Cain – Sins of the Father, then you know Elias is stretched in every direction trying to figure out how to solve this mystery of his brother and how to save Genevieve. Each chapter bringing him closer and closer, it was a thrilling read.

Lastly I wanted to say that I can tell that the Author did his research and is himself well read. The poems between each chapter were different and really cool to read, each giving their own part or clue to the story. Not a single eye rolling moment here, I loved it!! Elias Raven is getting another 5-star review from this girl/fan. Bravo Elias! Well done!

4.0 out of 5 stars Who will win the battle for Geveveive? 29 Oct. 2016

Cain: Rage of Angels, has us revisiting the world Elias Raven created where Cain is reborn to live out his sin until the end of time. Where his character Elias Cain just learned who he really is. And we learned what there is a plan in place to change the way the world has been turning to maintain order. Cain…

Cain: Rage of Angels picks up where Cain: Sins of the Father ends. Here we find that Elias is trying to come to terms with his father’s death, legacy and the disappearance of the woman he loves. In book 2 Mr. Raven kicks up the suspense, the paranormal aspect and the action.

The characters we’ve come to understand, like and dislike are back and we get to dig a little deeper into the plot again Cain. Yet don’t be surprised if there’s a few twist and turns along the way. You never know who might pop in to shake things up.

With every Cain raging in Elias’s head to find his bastard brother, Qaylin, who killed his father and had something to do with Genevieve’s disappearance. Now Elias will have to not only race the clock but also fight those who wish do destroy him and his family.
