Product description

An extremely sturdy TFT Desk Arm finished in a modern matt black painted effect. This clamps onto a desktop using the two steel clamps and the arm can then be adjusted to the optimum height using the pole clamp (allen key supplied). The arm can be adjusted at both the rear and front swivel points and the plate can be tilted or rotated. A cable hook is in place to support the cables from the TFT screen to the vertical pole. Designed to fit most TFT screens as it complies with VESA standards for screens with mounting holes which are 75mm or 100mm apart (simply measure the distance between the mounting holes on your model and if they are 75mm or 100mm apart then this will fit). Supports up to 10kg in weight. Dimensions: Max Height - 43cm, Max Extension - 35.5cm, Min Projection - 15cm, Clamp Adjustment - 0cm to 9cm.

Use Inverted - Suspend TV from Ceiling

Use Inverted - Suspend TV from Ceiling
This bracket can also be used to suspend a TV from the ceiling. See my photos and captions. The bracket is very strong but it wasn't too difficult to cut the support tube to length with a metal saw and drill the end cap to accept the cable. The bracket provides movement and rotation in every direction so the TV can be orientated as necessary.Ordered 3rd Dec from Cable Mountain, received 6th. Highly recommended.

I decided to buy a monitor arm to free up space on my desk for working on art projects.
I saw this one which has crazy good reviews and is reasonably priced and decided to buy it.

First thing that I noticed when I got it is the weight and build quality, some other arms look quite flimsy but I can't imagine breaking this one even if it tried to.
At the moment I have a 24" Samsung SyncMaster P2450 attached to it and it holds it with ease, the clamp used to attach it to the table is also very strong and provides an extremely stable base.
Oh and to people wondering if you can rotate your monitor from landscape to portrait while on this, you can, it swivels all the way around just behind the VESA mounting and stays stable at any angle.

My only gripe with the arm is that every time you move the horizontal arm while a monitor is attached it moves down the vertical pole slightly,
so if you're moving it around a lot you will have to pull it back up to the top after a while, not really a big deal though.

Overall an excellent piece of kit, very strong, well built and worth the price.

And they got it delivered really quickly as well, thanks Cable Mountain! :)

Very simple assembly, no issues mounting the monitor, all screws supplied etc.

The hand tightening of the arm to the main pole could be improved - a bit of effort required to make sure arm does not slip. After this effort applied, the arm is rock solid.

I mounted a 24 inch monitor in PORTRAIT mode - for anyone who is wondering whether this is tall enough to do so - there's ton of room to spare. By my measurements you could probably have a 27 inch in portrait, but with no room to spare (i.e. edge resting on desk surface).

Anyway - give us an allon key to tighten the arm in place of hand turning "quick release" and I'd be happier.

It looks solid enough but it could not hold in place even a 19" lcd display. The joint between the horizontal bar and the display was the problem - the angle of the display kept sagging off the vertical and the joint was impossible to tighten sufficiently. I eventually found the Arctic Monitor Stand Z1 which is excellent and has not moved at all.

It's a solid, chunky build, however the most irritating thing I find about this is that when you move the monitor back and forward so that it rotates on the vertical pole, it will gradually walk its way down. This is despite supporting only a small 19" LCD monitor and tightening the grip to the point I think it's going to strip the treads on a pathetic 6mm diam nut/bolt clamp combination. For what its worth I think the pole would have been better designed with circular groves spaced horizontally along its length so that the clamp grip can lock into and prevent slipping. For this price I expected a bit better, can't understand why some people give it 5 stars. Does the job I suppose but I would not purchase another. Now use as a second monitor support with my main 24" supported by a very extendable and sturdy Ergotron LX Desk Mount LCD Arm which although more expensive I would highly recommend. Recently noticed that AmazonBasics have cloned the Ergotron both in the single AmazonBasics Single Monitor Display Mounting Arm and dual AmazonBasics Dual Side-by-Side Monitor Display Mounting Arm. I would have loved to have bought the dual mounting arm, dump this one and set up the 2nd and 3rd monitor but instead got a Duronic DM351X3 Single LCD LED Desk Mount Arm Monitor Stand Bracket with Tilt & Swivel (Tilt ±15°|Swivel 180°|Rotate 360°) + 10 Year Warranty. This is more flexible (and cheaper) than the Cable Mountain above and I would recommend this if on a budget.

I was looking for a desk arm for my PC system monitor as desk space here is limited, and messy, and I looked around for something that would be priced reasonably, and be able to job. This arm caught my attention and after a quick read at some other reviews I bought this one and kept my fingers crossed.

Delivery of the item was NEXT DAY and that was after I chose normal 2-3 business day delivery, so straight away I was impressed!

On opening the box, you are presented with solid steel parts, and I honestly could not believe just how solid these parts are!

Building the parts was done in 5 minutes, the monitor attached and set up and it's now just sits there holding the stuff in place, and I'm still glad I bought this as it really is a quality piece of kit for the money.

The only thing I will mention, and this has absolutely NOTHING to do with the arm, is that the unit cannot hold a 24" iMac on a mounting kit.
I tried this, and while it will hold it in place for a while, the sheer weight of the iMac 24" is just way too much for it. Thought I'd mention this as some people may be looking to do this with their own kit.

Heavy duty but does what it says on the tin. Only issue is that the bolt tightener device at the back isn't easy to tighten fully, and the monitor can drop slightly if you don't really crank it tight. Swing arm has pretty good reach, you can't ask for much more from a product at this price.

Good solid components with stable fixation and not bad for price
Only problem is the screw holes are too small to be used on bigger size tv like55 etc
Ended up buying separate brackets to be fixed on tv so that this desk clamp can be attached to it
