Sorrow Creek has a number of legends attached to it that are explained in a very mundane fashion in the film. Kayla (Freya Ravensbergen) our token eye candy and her sister Jesse (Christina Caron) head off to a cabin near this area along with two male friends. Then weird things happen.

The film quality was poor. It looked like it was 1970's VHS. The bright daylight scenes were out of focus. Stephen Walker who played Daniel Fields can't act, and that is putting it nicely. The end scene with Kayla was filmed similar to a found footage scene with the camera laying on the ground. Why? Who knows. The film has a few decent horror scenes, but needed to tie the story together better to make them meaningful. The lack of a good story made good scenes boring.

Parental Guide: F-bomb. No sex or nudity. Making its rounds on Wal Mart film multi-packs.

I bought this film last night from a supermarket rack of DVD's. It's an attempt (poorly executed as it transpires), to capture the same kind of terror held cinematic captive, in such stellar films as 'Blair Witch' - i.e. the creepy and haunted house in the woods. This is a well worn movie theme, but one that seems to strike a chord with the public. So when I saw the intriguing artwork on the DVD cover, I decided to take a chance and see if the script lived up to it's billing: sadly it doesn't. The cinematography seems intent on presenting nearly every scene with a dark foreboding and/or shadowy feel. It does work to some extent - the shots of the forest have an eerie edge to them, but it needs a decent cast, because as far as this film is concerned, the actors and actresses don't pass muster. The tension is seemingly built by means of mysterious phone calls/screaming/staring into the middle distance and embracing each other in a crisis. The dialogue is contrived and plot devices prove rather obvious. It isn't in the best interests of horror films if you find yourself having to crack up laughing, as it tends to detract from the credibility of terror, but that's what I did and several times too. Don't waste your time or money, there's better films in this genre to watch or purchase.

The quality was better than has been suggested. The story was good and at times really good.

It was spooky but never scary and the acting was not great. However for the price it passed 80 minutes away quite nicely.

'The Cabin at Sorrow Creek' is about a group of people who go into the woods one afternoon and then decide to stay the night in an old house they find there only to be stalked by some sort of killer. First of all I have to say it was like going back to the 60s as the picture quality was AWFUL. It looked like VHS quality and everything was blurry and out of focus. I couldn't manage to make some of the objects out in the film because the picture was that bad. The storyline was also pretty lame and stupid as the acting wasn't very good and the characters in the film seemed to be making stupid decisions all the time. AVOID this film unless you like bad 60s horror movies in VHS quality!

I pointed this film out to my girlfriend as I was intrigued by the cover art and felt it could be worth a watch. All I can say is,the cover art is the best thing about this product. The most excitement I got during this film was when it was over. It looked like it was made during the early 1990's despite it being a 2013 release. The scripting was terrible from the get go. The acting was bland at best. The lack of intelligence by the characters just made me feel exhausted, do these characters not watch horror films? The only real surprise came from something of comedy value. I would expect to see this priced at no more than 50p it was that terrible. Don't be fooled by the art, it's not worth your time.

Where to begin, the script was terrible, the actors were ridiculous, the filming was beyond horrific and it's pretty hard not to laugh all the way through it. Not even worth watching to be honest, complete waste of money. Should be worth about 25p. I would put half a star if I could because it doesn't even deserve one. If you're looking for something scary, this is not it. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS MOVIE.
