The photo and description here are not correct, at least for the item that Supply Me Beauty sold to me in March 2012.

I let them know this, and they quickly and politely refunded my money, but it looks like the listing has not been updated.

Therefore, if you are considering buying this, check into it to make sure the item the seller is going to send out is what you are looking for.

I was looking for a stainless steel cuticle cutter made entirely out of metal. That is how it's described here, and what the photo shows.

However, the body of the knife I received was made of tortoiseshell plastic, like a typical cuticle cutter costing under a pound. The metal cutting section was dull and not very even - it just ripped up my cuticle skin. I've been using this sort of cuticle trimmer for 10 years, so I know how to be careful with them. I threw this one away after one use - it was the worst I've ever tried.

----
At the same time on this site, I bought the Sally Hansen Cuticle Trimmer made entirely out of stainless steel, and I can recommend it, but only up to a point - it's one of those cuticle trimmers that is relatively thick and dull, so it's hard to get it up close to your cuticle, and does not cut much off. It only trims the pieces of skin that stick out quite a lot. This is a good safety feature, actually, but if you are used to a v-trimmer that gets in close to the cuticle, this one will probably frustrate you. It seems sturdy and well-made.

As an ex manicurist I am thrilled with the cuticle knife. I know they will 'blunt' quite quickly but they are so much better on the hands than cuticle scissors.
