This is a good strop for beginners. Great quality material will bring a razors edge to your knives or razor. If you are new to using a strop there are some great youtube videos on getting started. If you buy a straight razor you need to buy this razor strop.

That said a very soft leather costs a lot more & is easier to damage & too soft can be less useful on certain knives like scandi grindes where they can give a curved bevel over time especially if you dont strop on a steady base instead of up in the air which is even worse but is often how there designed to be used.
This with some blue compound (which makes all the difference) has so far done all my knives many times & all the church kitchen & home hitchen knives some tools & my main bushcraft knife is shave sharp which I have never been able to do on any of my 8 stones including Japanese clay etc.
So this is a cheap easy way to really make a difference (with a compound) it's not showing any sign of wearing out.
Overall - It does the job. It's a bit of leather. It will remove burrs on it's own, but I would recommend using in unison with a sharpening or polishing compound. Although it has the hook to attach to the strop to an object I would recommend keeping it on a flat surface if your using it with a knife rather than a razor. It will give you that 'cut throat' finish.
Delivery - Purchased as a prime item and delivered next day
Quality - It's a bit of leather. Kind of like a cheap belt. It is starting to come away from the foundations, but I think this is because the manufactor used some naff gluse to join it together. I fixed it with some gorilla glue and now it is well fused.
Value - Probably a bit expensive for what it is. Realistically you could hit up a charity shop and purchase an old leather belt to give you the same effect. Make no mistake - you are paying for convenience
To summise, I would recommend the item as it will strop your blade. Remember however, there is cheaper alternatives.
