After spending literally HOURS researching the best cable of this type for use with my Nikon D5500 camera I chose this one based on the reviews. However, I soon discovered it will not engage with the camera port at all despite the item description claiming it will fit digital cameras. The problem being the sleeving around the smaller connector is simply to thick therefore preventing a secure connection to the camera hdmi port. I contacted the supplier for advice and they just suggested sending it back for a refund. They also suggested I send photos in to help with product development etc. which cost time and effort at my expense and all for what? Although this cable seems pretty solid and well constructed, my advice would be to make sure there is enough clearance around the cable socket on your device to ensure a secure fit. If it's for a digital camera then you might want to look elsewhere for a more suitable alternative.
