HASH(0x8b90daa4) out of 5 stars A Page Turner You Won't Put Down 12 Nov. 2011
By Sandra Sundlof - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is a story that interlaces the generations from growing up in the 60's to present day. Through the characters and events, this book takes an unusual look at how America has dealt with cultural diversity issues. It is also a story about how events that take place early in life have a profound and lingering grip on the persona we eventually become. Well written, entertaining, filled with some very interesting characters.

HASH(0x8bac6cbc) out of 5 stars A really great read! 12 Nov. 2011
By Arlene Smith - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This story takes a good hard look at what it means to be human, with our capacity for bigotry, love, creativity and conflict. It looks at all the ways we love one another and explores the struggles we inflict on ourselves and each other.Peopled with characters I came to care about and want to meet again,I enjoyed The Content of Character immensely.

HASH(0x8bb4c03c) out of 5 stars worth it... 14 Aug. 2012

If you ever want to really take a look at your own inner being and the bigotry we all have, stop & have a read. The autistic author draws you where you thought you'd never go (well at least for me) and the family love that "divides & conquers" no matter what adversities are thrown at us. Highly recommended

I found this novel absolutely fascinating and enchanting, reading it thru in bits and pieces whenever I could over two and a half days. It is a mesmerizing account of a unique individual and his unforgettable family and life.If you enjoy stories of people with personal handicaps and hidden talents overcoming adversity you will love this novel as I did.
